Harry Reid super-committee picks in place (A known liar/perjurer, an anti-war Socialist...)

n the first of what will be a closely watched selection process for a powerful new deficit panel, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced he will appoint Democratic Sens. Patty Murray (Wash.), Max Baucus (Mont.) and John Kerry (Mass.) as his three choices for a super committee charged with finding more than $1 trillion in spending cuts by the end of this year.

Murray will serve as co-chair of the 12-member panel. Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will select her co-chair and two other panelists, as required by the debt limit agreement signed into law by President Barack Obama last week. Minority Leaders Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell will each select three additional members.

“The Joint Select Committee has been charged with forging the balanced, bipartisan approach to deficit reduction that the American people, the markets and rating agencies like Standard and Poor’s are demanding,” Reid said in a statement. “To achieve that goal, I have appointed three senators who each posses an expertise in budget matters, a commitment to a balanced approach and a track record of forging bipartisan consensus.”

Reid’s three picks are loyal to the majority leader and are intended to show the Nevada Democrat is serious about forging a bipartisan deal to head off $1.2 trillion in spending cuts required under the debt deal. The super committee was Reid’s contribution to the bipartisan agreement to end the debt limit fight.

John Kerry is a liar of the first order....he lied about his fellow soldiers and events, he did this to Congress who bought his foul story. He now smears the American Tea Party, calling them names....John Kerry should have been shot for his treason.....Reid is trotting out one of the reasons there is a Tea Party.

Shame, shame, shame. This trio is abusive to our Constitution and to our military. NO TO JOHN KERRY!!!

Murray will serve as co-chair of the 12-member panel. Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will select her co-chair

Patty Murray is Reid's choice for co-chair and Boehner gets to choose who Murray's fellow co-chair will be.

No word yet on whether Patty Murray has located those day-care centers she claimed Osama Bin Laden had built for poor women in the Muslim world.

It's not Harry's fault. He is getting older, and his hearing isn't what it used to be. He misunderstood what he was supposed to be doing.

When he was told he needed to choose three members for a Super Committee, HE thought they said Stupor Committee, and... well, the rest is history...

If you didn't bring up the day care centers - I would have.

Here is a woman so blinkeringly stupid that she actually thought Osama bin Laden and the Taliban made DAY CARE CENTERS - you know so women could continue their education or work - except that if you tried to educate yourself or work - THEY KILL YOU!!!!

This committee is about as legal as czars....

**********************

What? You have problems with a Royal Congress and a Congress of Commons?

Every lickspittle Party toadie, hack and wannabee in the media and even on this site said this was the BEST DEAL WE COULD GET at this time. You would doubt the word of so many wardheelers, especially since it was phrased the same way over and over? You would contest the honor of a fake tan metrosexual golf caddy? What could possibly go wrong from denying 38 states from effective representation?

Is this Constitutional?? To put so much power into the hands of such few?? What recourse do we, the voters, have?? It is ridiculous.

I have absolutely very little faith in the GOP to get this right.

This is all BS that needs to end. Next they will have a committee to select the committee to decide how many times Paul borrows from Paul to pay Peter. Kerry needs recused because he said the tea party was the cause of the downgrade. but since he is already a chosen one that is probably why the idiotic lurch is on the news shows.

ObamaCare needs defunded and abolished.

Dodd/Frank bill needs abolished

The community reinvestment Act amendments are still in existence that caused the economic housing collapse. Abolish them.

Cut all salaries immediately of all the senate and congress, POTUS

Cut all pork and special interest

NO MORE LOBBIESTS

Downsize the EPA,IRS,DOE,DOEduc

Fire all of Obama’s czar's and their staff

CUT our ties to the UN

CEASE sending all countries and dictators billions

NO MORE POTUS campaigning on our dime

IMPEACH AND REMOVE OBAMA

is a start...

One thing for sure, Baucus is very much a pro 2nd Ammendment senator. That said, he’s also an avowed, professional drunk!

“Reid’s three picks are loyal to the majority leader and are intended to show the Nevada Democrat is serious about forging a bipartisan deal...”

What? One of the best examples of masterful rhetorical mis-direction that I’ve ever seen.

Harry may have just badly screwed up. Bacus is from Montana and is going to face a serious up hill fight to keep his seat. He may be the weak link the GOP can pick off
