The pictures of burning high-streets and apparently impotent policing astounded many Chinese, who perceive Britain as an enviably genteel – if fading – society where many of China's new upper-middle classes send their children to elite private schools and universities to be educated.

China is LOVING this and making maximum propaganda value out of the US Debt Ceiling Debate and these riots in London.
It is mainly for consumption of their domestic audience - “You see, fellow Chinese, there is nothing of value in the economies and political systems of the West - only CHAOS.”
China can go to hell. Why we do ANY business with them is beyond me, but just about all of the big American businesses are selling us out. Just try to find American made products in Walmart. Traitors ALL!
I saw a report on CNN about the riots. Many of the rioters look like they would be right at home in the ghettos of American cities,if you get my drift. Some young people were wearing New York Yankee caps, in England. I’ve heard that Yankee caps are one of the favorites of youth gangs here. Apparently they find favor with the youth gangs over there.
The news people are not talking about the backgrounds of the rioters. But, it appears to be rioting among young Britons whose parents immigrated to England from former colonies, such as the African colonies, or Jamaica.
The pics look like they came from 1940, I would almost expect to hear Edward R Murrow.

I will have to agree somewhat with the Chicoms whiners, and it’s legit. How safe will the athletes be if the cops with their pc-ness cannot even take the homeys on the very 2nd day??
