STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (WJBK) - Drug Enforcement Agency Officers bust into a home in Sterling Heights, armed with a search warrant. The only problem? The guy they were looking for doesn't live there. Fox 2 talked to the man who opened the door, and was stunned by what happened next.

They could give them my address, while looking for some dude who actually lives miles from here.
But the warrant is correct?
They are looking for a person, not an address.
Piss poor surveillance.
Then again, when you are a roid head, gung ho, warrior...stooopid humans are expendable.
“We, wuz jus’ doing’s ouhr job...”
Pffft!
I still get mail for people I don’t know and I have lived here for 9 years.
Doesn’t mean anything.
I am waiting to get their “Winner!” from Publishers Clearing House.
BFD-— No pets were shot
;-)
Do they not watch the place to make sure it’s the right place?
Solar flares cause static.
You ever think around while scratching yourself in classified locations that THEY are out there waiting to BUST IN...?
Eh?
Think ‘bout it: THEY are just out there, waiting, waiting, WAITING, and just WANTING to bust INTO where you live; so they can BUST YOUR ASS!!!!!
NEVER think ‘bout that?
Apparently, this doesn’t bother a significant percentage of law enforcement.
Otherwise, they’d actually gather intelligence to confirm that a suspect is actually at a location before they come to a location with a warrant.
Highly unlikely that such actions would have altered this incident. They primary reason is that the suspect was using the address as his address. To complicate this even more, the suspect’s parents are the owners / landlords for this address.

...Better than getting Obamas’ Milwakee SA flashmob,</sarc>...
Hmm ~ naw, the “tenants” would have shown up ~ somewhere ~ maybe just on the power company bill. Or, USPS change of address orders. Or, the cops can ask the post office for the identities of those who reside there. Or, ~~~~~~~~ there are a good number of ways for the cops to find out if their target actually resides at a specific address or just “uses it” as an address. Always a good idea before they bust in, shoot the dog, roust out the chilluns with machineguns, and beat down the head of household (not that they did that here, but there was no dog).
You have to suppose that the smarter criminals think this sort of thing is just great—any enforcement agency harassing innocent citizens means one fewer enforcement agency thwarting them.
