No arrests 3 months after killing by SWAT

No arrests have been made in the three months since Jose Guerena was killed by a SWAT team during a raid of his home that officials said was part of a complex drug-trafficking investigation involving numerous people.

Stolen cars, drugs, cash and weapons were found in another one of the four houses raided that May 5 morning, but Sheriff Clarence Dupnik said no one has been arrested because an ongoing homicide investigation tied to this case is "much bigger."

"We could go out and make some arrests today, and we could've made some arrests some time ago, but we have two different investigations going on and the homicide is a priority," Dupnik said. "And we don't want to turn off the flow of certain information."

I was going to say "Stay away from drugs, and SWAT won't be kicking down your door", but then I read this:

The lead detective in the investigation wrote that during the six months of constant surveillance, none of the suspects was seen handling or even in the proximity of narcotics...

So they had a huge SWAT presence for a drug bust in the middle of the night, shot, wounded, and let a man bleed out - and there were no drugs present?

Sounds like a small infringement on the ‘due process’ article, as well as the right to the pursuit of happiness.

There was definitely a crime committed here, imo! The FBI needs to take over this investigation or the whole truth will never come out. A county investigating itself will only produce tainted results. I am surprised as to why there has not been any TV investigated shows taking ahold of this?

Please do not forget the murdered man, Jose Guerena was keeping a pretty low profile for a drug dealer. Working third shift in a copper mine. That's a new one for me. Pima County SWAT has a lot to answer for. However I doubt that will not happen anytime soon. Probably not in this lifetime. There has been very little information coming out since the end of June. That “Thin Blue Line” sometimes grows into a solid steel curtain when the cops screw up this bad.

The SWAT raid took place around 9:30am. The dead guy had worked a 12 hour shift at the local copper mine and come home to go to sleep. His wife and 4-yr-old were in the house. His 5-yr-old was at kindergarten where his mom had driven him an hour or so before.

If homicide was the priority then the SWAT team would have been arrested.

What makes you think the FBI could dobetter. They are too busy investigating and hiding evidence in the murder of a Border Patrol agent by guns they and ATF allowed to be sold to cartels.

Don't most drug dealers work long hard hours at regular jobs then come home so tired they go to bed without eating? /s

Sounds like he's saying:
- We got the wrong guy
- The right guy is still out there
- We can't figure out how to get him

This is complete Cr@p! They are waiting for the outrage to die down and hopefully we’ll all forget about it. Step two will be sweeping all this nasty little business about shooting innocents under the rug. Disgusting!
