Looks “contradictory”, but it’s not.
Do not argue with the fool according to her belief in global warming or her denial of the falsification of the evidence. That’s being like her yourself. You’re accepting her premise.
Answer the fool according to her REAL folly - she seeks her significance in a hollow pursuit. “Caring about” or “saving” the “erf”.
Ask her if this is truly what makes her “matter”, if it makes her feel significant in this world to have this crusade against a non-existant problem. “Saving the erf” is a really big deal, isn’t it?
Then tell her how truly significant she is.
She is a special creation, made in God’s image, so significant to Him that He sent his One and Only Son to die for her so that she might be with Him FOREVER, and not just on this transient little dustball.
There is no reason to “argue” anything else.
She and the other environuts are “look for love in all the wrong places”, and reject their true significance, giving up truth for a lie.

It is dangerously easy to arrive at this mistaken impression. They are not incompetent, they are very efficient at doing EXACTLY what they set out to do, in EXACTLY the way they intended, with EXACTLY the result they intended to obtain. Their purpose is not the preservation of a bucolic natural balance that is portrayed to the average liberal “useful idiot”, but the establishment of global control over the means of production (sound familiar?) by a small number of unelected, unaccountable, and unrecallable Marxixt thugs who will rule our lives.

OK, do we’ve got a Supreme Court that ruled we must stop global warming giving the EPA the power to do so. So now it turns out they based the ruling on false data ... now what?

The SC primary purpose is not to weigh evidence. That is for juries and for judges. Their purpose is to see that the constitution is applied correctly even if their are bad factual findings.
Half the EPA people are what you describe. The other half are just liberal idiots and incompetent affirmative action hires (gays, blacks etc) who know the right people to score a fat Federale Gubbermint job. IOW they want that paycheck #1. They want that pension etc etc etc

I favor INSTAPUNDITS interpretation of the SC.

If their job was the job description of the EPA, then yes, they are incompetent at safeguarding our environment.
However, their job is not to do that. They were hired to "fundamentally change" our way of life into something non-capitalist.
In this they have been very successful.

California is enjoying a cool summer. The coolest summer I have experienced in over twenty five years. As expected, August is starting out very cool too.
FYI - Our cooling trend is in at least the third year. Each year cooler than the last.
I didn’t mention. She (the Al Gore fan) is an atheist. And I am weak (in her eyes) for needing the ‘crutch’ of religion to accept the ‘fact’ that there is no afterlife, but just ‘dirtnap’ (in her words).
She is also very troubled, as you might imagine. Psychiatrists and prescribed drugs are what keep her ‘in control’. Ironic.

You might ask whether a rejection of the Truth could be the cause of her mental imbalance. Ironic that SHE is the one on psychiatric drugs, telling you that you’re weak for leaning on the “crutch” of Christianity.
Take her case before the Creator in prayer, and don’t think you of your own strength and intellect can “argue her into heaven”.
