Morrissey claims KFC, McDonald’s worse than Norway attacks
Washington Post ^ | 29 July 2011 | Sarah Anne Hughs

The ever-controversial musician Morrissey is once again being controversial, this time for saying that the recent terrorist attacks in Norway, which killed 76 people, aren’t as bad as what fast food companies do.

At a recent concert in Warsaw, Poland, the former Smiths frontman reportedly said, “We all live in a murderous world, as the events in Norway have shown, with 97 [sic] dead.” He then added: “Though that is nothing compared to what happens in McDonald’s and Kentucky Fried [expletive] every day.” The vegan and animal rights activist then segued into a performance of “Meat is Murder.”

How can he say that we are going about things the wrong way?. He sounds like the son and heir of nothing in particular.

How about a new reality show where individuals like him are planted in the middle of nowhere (desert?) and given a canteen, knife, tarp and some directions for killing and eating let’s say snakes, rats, tortoises....etc., and let the camera’s roll.

“How’s it go? Shut up and sing!”

In this case, shut up and DON’T sing would be a better option.

McDonalds and Kentucky Fried [expletive]

I guess he heard how McDonalds is changing their Happy meals into unedible [expletive].

I just have to laugh at this nonsense and realize that its a symptom of a wealthy society. Go to some village in Africa where the people are starving and tell them meat is murder. Go to one of the families of someone who got murdered in the Norway attack and tell them that their eating at McDonalds is worse than the attack.

The fast food industry ought to pool their resources and sue this clown into his next turn on the karmic wheel. Fast food isn't even REMOTELY as bad as a lot of innate nazis like to go around saying. If you don't defend your rep you're going to have a lousy reputation.

I love modern music, rap, industrial, older grunge and techno, classic rock — yet I still have no clue who Morrisey is.

Nothing new from this weirdo, he used to claim he was asexual. It is common knowledge he is just a homosexual though.

Years ago when I saw “Meat is Murder” signs painted on bridges etc. I would recall the vision Peter had in Acts 10:9-22.
Peter was in a trance, and they saw heaven opened, and a vessel descending....wherein were all manner of four footed beasts......’And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.”

Our Lord and Saviour supercedes and over rules all of man’s ordinances and principles.
