Sean Hannity And John McCain Battle Over Senator’s Anti-Tea Party Remarks
Mediaite ^ | 7/28/11 | Frances Martel

Sen. John McCain ruffled America’s already disheveled political feathers today with a Senate floor rant mocking the Tea Party’s position on the debt ceiling debate comparing them to hobbits and disparaging them for turning Sharron Angle and Christine O’Donnell into Republican nominees. Unsurprisingly, Sean Hannity had a bone to pick with the senator tonight on those comments, and on his opinion that the Republicans will get the blame for a debt default if they do not compromise.

Hannity came out swinging at Sen. McCain, wondering why the senator had turned on the Tea Party– “why not attack the President?” Sen. McCain corrected that he did intend to attack the Tea Party but that he disagreed with their obstinacy, especially if it would mean a plan like that of Sen. Harry Reid’s– “one of the most flimsy, transparent, phony spending cut things, proposals, that I’ve ever seen”– being put into law. The alternative to Hannity, however, was Republicans “competing with themselves, which infuriates me a little bit.” He noted that the Rep. Paul Ryan plan in the House was a good start, and that “the House Republicans voted to repeal Obamacare,” all things it frustrated him not to see in the Senate.

And this is the only man that AZ Republicans can manage to send to the US Senate time after time after time. How embarrassing.

I consider McRINO’s “shiftless b*stardness” second only to that of the Cretin-in-Chief.

IF I would paraphrase McCain - regardless of the catastrophe looming it is politics as usual in the Senate. And anyone who thought it might be otherwise is “bizarro”.

I saw the video (approx 10 min in length). I’d hardly call it a battle. Sean seemed to be a bit off and found him stammering a little bit. Not usual for him.

McLame ends the interview by saying how much he loves the Tea Party. So was it a case of him reading that WSJ article on the floor to point out how obnoxious it was? Or was he echoing the message and was lying out his earhole last night?

McCain never misses an opportunity to side with the enemy.

Obama is the single best President I have ever seen in my lifetime, says McCain. Of course, he would say the same thing if Kermit the Frog or Rosie O’Donnell was President. The man is a pathological butt licker to whomever is in power. (sometimes I wonder if he even knows what he is saying....or, even where or who he is, for that matter.

The man needs retirement.

...wondering why the senator had turned on the Tea Party – “why not attack the President?”

For the same reason he didn't attack him during the '08 Presidential campaign. Just as it seemed McCain did everything within his power to help Obama win the election, now he's helping him achieve his destructive domestic agenda.

End open primaries! If not, the McCains of the world will keep winning GOP nominations.

Absolutely the best thing....unfortunately, we keep getting his dementia induced comments posted here on FR...when they clearly belong on DU or HP.

Perhaps the moderator would see fit to at least excise such posts from the site?
