Only weeks ago, Obama signaled intentions to cut $400 billion from Defense, but key Democrats are already talking about even large cuts of $1 trillion to Defense. Such a move would signal a broad American retreat from the world and erode our national defense for many years to come. Obama's military budget shenanigans are yet another reminder that the key characteristic of Obama’s involvement in any aspect of U.S. life--economics, policies or participation on the world scene—is that Obama's policies have left Americans with a weaker world presence as a result of his involvement.
The Gang of Six proposal called for almost trillion dollars ($886 billion) in cuts from defense. Others have proposed that some direct cuts could come from canceling air craft carrier construction (not surprisingly, the Dems have pointed to the USS George H.W. Bush) as one of the possible candidates for cancelation.

I know we have seen a $400 reduction in pension for this year, $125 for last year. That is $525 less income gone to additional taxes for 2 years to fuel the PIG BOOK of WASTEFUL CONGRESSIONAL SPENDING.
The government promised these benefits to get and retain Military recurits, the Fedeal Courts have upheld these promises. Now the government led by Dems wand to break that contract. But won't cut a dime is useless trains and bridges to nowhere, or welfare for illegal invaders.
I want Dingy and every one of those Military hating dems to don full gear + back pack, dig their own beds out of the hard packed earth, live on MRI's and no showers for the next month, then lets see if they still want to gut these under paid men and women pay and benefits. While they are giving trillions of $$ to illegal aliens, bridges and trains to no where and other useless pork barrel spending their pea brains can con up for the tax paying SERFS to pay.
Some of these men and women are on their 4th or 5th tour in those God forsaken countries where nearly every one is trying to kill them.

All democrat presidents gut the military. Thats so they can say they cut government jobs. Carter gutted it Reagan built it up...Clinton gutted it Bush built it up...Obama is going to gut it and if we get a republican president, he will build it up again....Been this way since at least 1976.

Although I do have a suggestion. Any contract with the military the goes over budget, the contractor has to eat the balance. And the contract has to maintain quality. I think we can get a couple of hundred billion from that.
The mantra should be REFORM of the 45+ years of donor quid pro quo....i.e. donor palm greasing that has been built into every Pig Book program, every entitlement program. NOT just cut, cap, and balance.
That part is a crock of poo a ton deep, from both parties, elitist. Who think they are Lord's and Masters to us the SERFS who work and pay for them and federal workers to have platinum health care plans, lavish retirements for life, even if all they served is 2 terms. Put them on Medicare just like the rest of us Serfs.
This country was founded on an EQUAL basis of all people. Not for the congressional people to become our Masters. $60 Billion in fraud in Medicare alone. Not to mention the quid pro quo donor palm greasing. Why in the H are we renting long term use equipment like sleep apena machines for 2-3 times the cost of buying it out right? Why was Express Scripts allowed to buy the scandal riddled Medco? $22 Bil for that baby. Just rolling back to a few years ago budget figures FIXES NOTING! THIS WHOLE THING IS ONE BIG CON JOB BY BOTH PARTIES AND THE MARXIST IN CHIEF!
I went to the commissary today, prices up for the third week in a row. And the Navy Times tells me that they are going to CONTROL the ration portions of our Military men and women at home and at sea.
