The Maid's Tale: DSK ACCUSER TALKS TO NEWSWEEK
Newsweek ^ | July 25 2011 | Christopher Dickey  & John Solomon

Posted on 07/24/2011 3:21:35 PM PDT by Cincinna

She was paid to clean up after the rich and powerful. Then she walked into Dominique Strauss-Kahn's room—and a global scandal. Now she tells her story.

“Hello? Housekeeping.” The maid hovered in the suite’s large living room, just inside the entrance. The 32-year-old Guinean, an employee of the Sofitel hotel, had been told by a room-service waiter that room 2806 was now free for cleaning,  “Hello? Housekeeping,” the maid called out again. No reply. The door to the bedroom, to her left, was open, and she could see part of the bed. She glanced around the living room for luggage, saw none. “Hello? Housekeeping.”    Then a naked man with white hair suddenly appeared, as if out of nowhere.

That’s how Nafissatou Diallo describes the start of the explosive incident on Saturday, May 14, that would forever change her life—and that of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund and, until that moment, the man tipped to be the next president of France. Now the woman known universally as the “DSK maid” has broken her public silence for the first time, talking for more than three hours with NEWSWEEK at the office of her attorneys, Thompson Wigdor, on New York City’s Fifth Avenue.   “Nafi” Diallo is not glamorous. Her light-brown skin is pitted with what look like faint acne scars, and her dark hair is hennaed, straightened, and worn flat to her head, but she has a womanly, statuesque figure. When her face is in repose, there is an opaque melancholy to it.

Working at the Sofitel for the last three years, with its security and stability, was clearly the best job she’d ever hoped to have...

The “DSK Maid” is no longer an abstract “alleged victim” . She is a real woman who now has a name and a face. Her name is Nafissitou Diallo and she has come forward with a 3 hr interview. Well worth reading the whole article.
Her story is powerful & totally credible. A jury would find her sympathetic & believable, and her story credible.
For DSK, the time seems to be running out. Dominos are falling on both sides of the Atlantic, with Tristan Banon whom he sexually assaulted in 2002 coming forward and having her lawyers meet with the NY DA.
The pieces are now in play to bring him down from his perch of smug elite arrogance to face the American justice he deserved.
No matter what his high paid lawyers, flunkies, and Socialist enablers tell him, DSK’s options are running out.
A plea deal should be looking better & better to DSK. (if the DA is still prepared to offer one).
The Socialists in France covered for their golden boy, knowing of his decadent, libertine lifestyle and sexual abuse of women, and there will be a price to pay in 2012.

Nah, it's not about socialist elites embracing and participating in the death culture, rather it's about rich white guys exploiting poor brown people.

The woman, the massage therapist who accused “crazed sex poodle” Al Gore of assaulting her, dropped the charges against him.

DSK is a Socialist. This is about the power & arrogance of the left. Color is irrelevant.
The left makes a pretense and political hay of supposedly protecting the “little people”, the workers, the immigrants, the poor, the non-whites, but they are the biggest hypocrites and they are the biggest exploiters.

I am not convinced that the case will go to trial. She still has severe credibility problems. She has committed immigration fraud, welfare fraud, and tax fraud. She had a conversation indicating that DSK has money and she knows what she is doing. The NY Post seems convinced that she was hooking on the side. DSK will not deny that he had sex. Her injuries are slight. I am not sure they can even be directly connected to the incident.

DSK is a loathseome creature so I have no sympathy for him. As far as I know however, he has not made any mistakes in this case. Often defendants blunder with incriminating statements.

The trial if it occurs will be vicious. She will be attacked relentlessy.

If you read the entire article, which I think is fair & balanced, many of the issues you raise are clarified.
The forensic evidence seems overwhelming. DSK’s pattern of conduct is now known and fits her story. The story she told to her supergiants, police, colleages, hospital personnel, never varied.
If I were DSK’s lawyer, I would advise him to take a plea. He is in very deep trouble that can only get worse.
The French victim, Tristan Banon has come forward and her story is almost identical to ND. her lawyers say she may testify in the NY case.
These people are really sick; DSK had sex with Tristan Banon, & with her mother a high ranking Socialist party official.
This from the French magazine Le Point that reported in July that Strauss-Kahn had even admitted to his wife, the heiress and former television personality Anne Sinclair, that he had had sex with three women that Friday and Saturday as “a last glass before hitting the road for the [French] presidential campaign.”

Nothing like a prior "similar transaction" to get the jury in the victim's corner. Don't know about NY law, but in GA the admission of similars is "most broadly interpreted in the case of sexual offenses".

If NY law lets this in, he is basically doomed.

I don’t believe a word she is saying. Shes a muzzie, a swindler, and a liar. And I am not a fan of DSK either. He is a turd, a socialist, and French.

The French victim, Tristan Banon, gives an almost identical account of her sexual assault by DSK. Her lawyers have met with NY DA Vance, and she may agree to testify in the NY case.
If I were he , I wouldn’t want to put my fate in the hands of a NYC jury. This is not Florida!

Given all that, with his previous pattern of conduct, she is totally credible.
If he wants to take his chances in front of a NY jury that can relate to her story , but not his $50,000/month apartment, billionaire wife, and $1000 dinners in NY restaurants, good luck to him.
In her story of the sexual assault, I believe she is being truthful.

I read the article carefully. The forensic evidence indicates sexual contact, not necessarily rape. DSK will not deny that sex occurred. The NY Post is standing by their story that the room had provided sexual services. I have no idea about the reality of the Post’s sources but these sources may provd damaging to the prosecution. She has severe credibility problems from tax fraud, welfare fraud, and immigration fraud. She is trying to portray herself as a victime of manipulating boyfriends. I am skeptical about her claims of innocence in money laundering.

DSK may have won a “get out of jail free card” with this victim. Her credibility still has serious problems. Tristan Banon’s story may not be allowed in a trial. DSK’s lawyers will be able to cast doubt on her claims.

This case will be difficult to win. I think that DSK will make a payoff to the victim and the case will end. I see similarities to this case and the Colorado rape allegation against Kobe Bryant.

Do you think DA Vance will drop the charges? How can DSK pay off ND? That would be bribing a witness.
There are no monetary damages in criminal cases.

Of course, Al Gore had the backing of the rich and powerful, and the Dems, while DSK seems to be have been gotten rid of (for the position) so they could replace him with someone from..... CHIGAGO. The DALEY MACHINE still lives.
