According to an explosive document, investigators from the U.S. militarys top investigative office found evidence that a Pentagon survey pivotal to the [DADT] repeal was engineered months prior to its release, and was deliberately skewed in later media leaks, with the intention of swaying Congress towards repeal despite opposition from combat troops.
An unredacted version of the April 2011 report by the Defense departments Inspector General was leaked to the conservative Center for Military Readiness, and a slightly redacted version was confirmed as authentic by a Defense spokesperson to LifeSiteNews.com.
The authors found that Jeh Johnson, a co-chair of the commission handling the survey...breached the documents non-disclosure agreements by discussing an early draft of the document with a former news anchor and close personal friend on or around July 4, 2010. The purpose of the meeting, almost six months before the surveys official end, was to obtain suggestions for persuasive writing in addition to syntax and sentence structure, according to investigators.
...the IG reports that the individual said he/she was pleased that finally the United States was getting around to this idea and I was struck by how many members of the United States Armed Services thought this was just fine. The individual said that he/she reached the conclusion about troops favoring repeal based on a sentence in the document she saw in July.
However, according to the survey itself, the surveys 103 questions were not transmitted to troops until July 7, and were available online through August 15.
Further evidence of tampering emerged while investigating a source who breached non-disclosure agreements by leaking survey results to the media weeks before its release. Investigators concluded that, in addition to violating protocol, the source was not a disinterested party and deliberately skewed the information to favor a repeal of DADT.

Lifesite news is not a usually credible source.
This report has been debunked more than once.
They skewed the numbers to support that which was opposed.
Try here then:

“Lifesite news is not a usually credible source.”
Why do you say that?
“Lifesite news is not a usually credible source.”
You got any evidence of that scurrilous, unsubstantiated little charge?

Thought so. Wonder by how much?
“Cut spending, spread the troops thin and do anything else that can be done to destroy the military.”
At this point, I’m starting to think that might be something we need to do. If we are going to wrestle the Federal Government down to size. The Federal Military is going to be a major problem and threat. The truth is we don’t need many of em, and the ones we do need most all of it can be transferred to the National guards of the 50 States.
The Federal army can be reduced to a tiny fraction of its present size consisting primarily of just the top officers and most elite special forces personnel. People who will have 2 primary responsibility related to the defense of theses united States.
1: Maintain the capability to pull together the resources of the various State militia into a large coherent large army & air-force.
2: Respond to small time military/political crisis around the world involving less then say ~2 thousand troops.
Anything more and a congress should declare war and the Militia(National Guard) should be mobilized to quickly surge the army & air-forces numbers to the required size.
Indeed the only reason we are retaining the Generals and other top staff is to maintain our strategic skills(for fighting a major war) and the capability to pull together the States in fighting a war.
The Special forces and instance response teams will be necessary for dealing with them little problems and providing an experience platform in which to train future generals. Beyond that there should be war games among the States administrated by the pentagon generals with the propose of encouraging competitive war fighting skill retention and development.
I won’t argue with your idea. I told my wife today that the people could never take this country back. The military brass is all political. The only way it could succeed would be for a person to stand up and call for an immediate uprising. And then it would only succeed if people heeded his call.
Thought so. Wonder by how much?
All under the auspices of a corrupt, lying, and agenda driven White House.....=.=
I'm sure that's just a software artifact.
Just like the purple tie.
Or maybe he's gay as hell.
"Leaked"??
Who could have been stupid enough to believe that survey in the first place? I was under the impression that everybody (okay, everybody with an IQ over 70) saw the survey results and just rolled their eyes with the understanding that the fix was in all along.
Anyway, it's a good thing that it's now official. It will give the new President and GOP congress something to hang their hats on when they re-institute DADT.
Placemark, have to post some links here tomorrow.
