I think that’s fine, but the point made is that she (Bachman) doesn’t support you. She raises her Synod for twenty years over your Shepherd who is the anti-Christ, so what does that make you? Catholics so often insist on reading Catholic ways of doing things into evangelical congregations and then flog the straw man that results. A Lutheran is far less likely to preface a moral comment with "my synod says" (in fact it is almost unheard of -- it's almost always "according to the bible") than a Catholic to preface an analogous remark with "the pope says."
