Charles Krauthammer on Friday marvelously demonstrated just how in the pockets of Barack Obama America's news media are.
After claiming on PBS's "Inside Washington" that we now have a "completely compliant, pliant, supine press accepting every leak out of the White House," he silenced the entire panel by asking them to name one specific cut to entitlements the President has proposed (video follows with transcript and commentary):
CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: [The President] talks a good game. “Oh, I’m prepared to do entitlements, I’m ready to do entitlements.” Not once has he ever enunciated in public - other than all these leaks which I don’t trust for half a second – one structural change in entitlements, and without that, everybody over the age of nine knows we are not going to get a handle on the debt. So let’s hear him say it in public once.
NINA TOTENBERG, NPR: So why is it when he offered the big deal, the $4 trillion deal…
GORDON PETERSON, HOST: The grand bargain.
TOTENBERG: …the grand bargain, Republicans backed away from it?
KRAUTHAMMER: When did he offer that?
TOTENBERG: He offered that last week.
KRAUTHAMMER: Where?
TOTENBERG: In, he did it, publicly and in negotiations.
KRAUTHAMMER: In your leaks? What’s in the $4 trillion?

Irrational Media Exuberance.
Krauthammer is absolutely correct! Obama talks about a big deal but makes no talk on specific cuts. His big deal is a big lie.
O’bama is a pathological liar as is most of the far left dems.
Charles is late to the game and shouldn’t get the credit for this. Stephen Hayes has been asking this question for a while.
Totenberg and company are certainly Obama’s medium of spreading his lies to the American people.
I don’t always agree with Krauthammer’s positions (gun control) but he has one of the sharpest minds that I have ever been exposed to, in the same league with John Bolton. That is about as sharp as it gets. And Bolton is right on gun rights.
Indeed...and if that's correct, neither of them have gotten a decent answer from the press, from the WH or from the Congressional democrats.
They need to keep asking, keep hammering, as does any other RESPONSIBLE reporter who has the guts to do so.
Not that they'll ever get an answer, because there isn't one! :)
That’s all Obama has ever done - spouts meaningless words and people believe what they want to - and Obama, the self-described blank slate - knows it. After all, to drill down and question him - why that would be racist!

Perhaps you should know what you are talking about before you make a flat statement. I did not know, but I have seen the flat statement he voted for Obama around here a few times. It is pretty irritating to me that this turns out NOT TO BE TRUE.

But the jackasses who endorsed 0bama are not just bad conservatives -- they aren't conservatives at all. They should have to crawl from Pennsylvania Avenue all the way to Georgetown on their bellies like reptiles and beg the entire country to be forgiven next November. [And still not be readmitted to the fold.]
