I seriously doubt that the money will be divided evenly. More than likely the Muslim Brotherhood will spend much of it on weapons of mass destruction to be smuggled across our southern border and delivered to the terrorist cells that have been waiting for their marching orders.

We have only broken all legal precedents of asset ownership, and decided that the government of Libya no longer owns its assets, and decided to give its money to an unknown bunch of insurgents.
It’s only comparable to a situation where the Chicago CRIPS had a bank account, and a community organizer decided that the BLOODS were more responsible, so he stole the bank account from one terrorist, to another terrorist, so the Chicago budget was nor impacted, but the CRIPS could no longer buy Harleys.

There has been a whole lot of international activity, French, British, Turkey, Russia trying to get this Libya mess resolved. This link has at least half a dozen stories about various aspects of these efforts.

It is not US money. It is money that Gaddafi probably stole from his own people, and deposited here in the US. Now we are giving it back to the rebels to form a new government. While there are probably some Islamists, one report from the front line says the Nafusa mountain troops don’s seem to spend much time praying. A number of Libyans who were overseas have come back to help their country, and I suspect they are more secular in their outlook.

Well Congressman Pa.. er I mean Rabs, I think we should maintain aid to Israel because they are the only friend the United States has over there. ...That anyone looking farther than the MSM for info would discover how much science and medical/tech Israel shares with us that saves American lives daily... that we share a common religious origin/tradition and they have taken a crapload of the brunt of proxy Muslim aggression and terror that was intended as a slap to us (aside from standard everyday all-consuming Jew hatred that seems to be growing in America lately as well) Example? What was the first thing Saddam threatened GHWB he’d do if we attacked? What is the first thing Iran threatened to do if we attacked? That’s right, Kill the Jews. Scuds and Patriot missile batteries going off over Tel Aviv ring any bells? ... That there are treaties, defense pacts and such that we as a nation with any integrity (Obama aside) should honor... And most importantly, top of the list, to give a certain insane congressman in the Republican a sweet going away president as he rides off into oblivion for the final time.
But forget all that Rabs. We have a moral obligation to our friends. Period. That’s what friends do for each other. Watch their backs. Hopefully this answer will bring you a better understanding.
