A man who developed cancer in his windpipe has gotten a new trachea, grown entirely from his own stem cells over two days in a laboratory in Sweden. The operation is remarkable because it's the first time a completely synthetically grown organ has been transplanted into a patient, The Guardian reported. note that it’s not an embryonic stem cell - but the mans’ own. hmmmmm....I thought the settled science was that only DEAD BABY CELLS could turn into an organ!

Eritrean patient, Swedish hospital, Italian researcher/surgeon, British technology and probably more than a little American science. Sometimes when you feel like giving up on the human race, it surprises you.

Tracheal cancer sounds like an awful disease to have. You don't hear much about it. (at least, I haven't).

I thought the settled science was that only DEAD BABY CELLS could turn into an organ! YES!
And that resultant organ would be a perfect DNA match for...the dead baby.

I am sorry the obama death pannel has deemed the patient too old for the eccominc expense of the surgery. The patient must exercise their duty to die. (/s) obamacare.
