President Obama’s father revealed plans to put him up for adoption in 1961, according to Sally Jacobs, the Boston Globe reporter whose biography on the elder Obama is due out next week.
Jacobs wrote in the Globe on Thursday that the possibility was detailed as Obama’s father ran into trouble with immigration officials who thought he might have more than one wife.
“Subject got his USC wife ‘Hapai’ [Hawaiian for pregnant] and although they were married they do not live together and Miss Dunham is making arrangements with the Salvation Army to give the baby away,” read a memo written by an administrator in the Honolulu office of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, which describes the elder Obama’s conversation with immigration officers.
Jacobs says it’s unclear whether the president’s parents were really considering giving up their son, or if the story was fabricated to “appease immigration officials.”
She also quotes Robert Gibbs, the president’s former press secretary, who said when the document was released that Obama had never heard the adoption story. Gibbs also insisted that Obama himself was “absolutely convinced” that his mother, Ann Dunham, never had the purported conversation with the Salvation Army.
The memo, which dates from April 1961, was released by the Homeland Security Department in response to a Freedom of Information Act request made by Jacobs during her research for the biography.

This story is a bit weird. Was the Salvation Army even an adaption agency organization in the 1960’s?
Apparently, they still do.
It makes perfect sense. There were two big homes for unwed mothers in Vancouver, and escaping over the border to canada was what the young pregnant Seartle girls did at the time. One was run by the Catholic church, so it would be less likely the atheist Stanley Ann would choose that one. The other was run by the Salvation Army.
No one saw Stanley Ann in Hawaii after her pregnancy got underway. She first showed up in public with a newborn Barack in Seattle.
I wonder if President Obama ever wonders what would have happened had Roe v. Wade been the law of the land in 1961, and if his mother had felt “punished” by having a baby.
I wonder if we’ll ever no the real truth in our lifetime.

IMO BHO was born in Canada. A while back a fellow Freeper, maybe it was you, posted some very detailed and logical time-wise scenarios about a possible Canadian birth. Both the pre-birth and post-birth sequence of documented events and appearances by Stanley Ann fit into this scenario very well.
I thinks he’s a Canuck by birth.
the only thing relevant is that he has committed fraud on the entire nation and congress, pelosi at the time and harry reid, allowed and coverd up for him.
