I believe the head of CBS News said precisely the same thing when Katie Couric's ratings nosed over into a power dive about three weeks after her first broadcast. You are correct.
Networks really mean the opposite of what they publish when faced with a disaster.

A few years ago I had Current TV on satellite. They had one great moment of broadcast excellence--a live 24/7 videocam of the Burning Man Festival. Then I changed satellites and lost it. But I have been tempted to retrieve it just for that eerie countercultural sixtie-ish time warp phenomenon.

Wow, 93,000 viewers. That’s hugh, Keith! Local Cable Access shows on quilting probably net about the same number of viewers. I understand the underwater basket weaving show draws about the same number viewers.

WTF is Current TV? I never heard of it.It's that network that is blocked on my DirecTV receivers, along with LOGO and OWN.
