I guess the turnover means less in locales where jobs seldom go begging, like in crowded parts of India and China (or Bangladesh or whatever). But I’d hate to have such teams working on things like my bank account.

And people wonder why companies don't want to hire people in America...

Considering how many employers treat their employees, it's a wonder they can find anyone to hire. I guess the need to eat is strong.

Oh these folks were focused on helping banks straighten out problems with mortgages.

Hey! I think I just figured out how to win the lottery, metaphorically speaking. I’ve got claustrophobia “caused” by being forced to work in an office that’s smaller than my bedroom and that has windows that I cannot open, so I must suffer under the air-conditioning that is regulated by the building supers.

Office space is hugely expensive so I can understand the desire not to waste money. Cubes suck though.

I’ve been in mini-bullpens as well as small and large cubicled offices. Fortunately none of those arrangements bothered me. Some people actually like the privacy of cubicles.

If the room had mirrors on the end wall (giving the appearance of being twice as large) would that be more comfortable to be in?

Look, it goes far beyond warehousing workers in cubicles half their lives...Way beyond.

We're talking about tens of thousands of employers who knowingly hire *millions* of illegal aliens, while forcing the tax payers to subsidize their employees health care, hospitals, jails, food, schools/education etc etc...

Then ya get the endless schemes of phony unachievable incentives, commissions, bogus bonuses, and or stupid prizes in lieu of deserved needed raises.

All so they can increase their own profits...Profits regardless of consequences.

Ya know what happens in many corporate meetings nowadays? They spend half their time trying to figure out how to pay their employees less, cut their hours, eliminate employees, cut or eliminate their benefits etc, all while at the same time, trying to squeeze out more profits.

In many cases, they just off shore it to Communist China, where people work for mud cakes.

It's an ugly situation.

lol...

I've seen an oceans of cubicles, huge rooms, multiple floors, jammed with cubicles as far as the eye can see...Complete with elevated boss towers in the center, where the cubical community is watched from above by the tower bosses.

Bizarre does not begin to describe it.

What scary is 90 percent of the cubical community in the U.S. could easily perform their duties out of their homes...Eliminating traffic, saving billions of gallons of gas etc. etc.

It’s what they teach in MBA schools these days.

People are just another disposable widget.

No, because then it would appear twice as many people in the office, making it even worse. <;^(

I had to work in what amounted to a closet-sized office with no windows. It was also under the roof-mounted air conditioner which, when it came on, made the entire room vibrate with a loud hum. Could not stand it. Three months was all I could take. I was depressed every morning I drove to work.

Get an inexpensive fan and plug it in during consultations to block out the discussion — that might work.

I don’t think so. It’s really quite an uncomfortable feeling.
