NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) – CBS News has confirmed that authorities are looking into a shocking security breach that took place at John F. Kennedy International Airport last week.

WCBS 880′s Pat Farnack With Former NTSB Chairman Mark Rosenker

Investigators say Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi, a Nigerian, boarded Virgin America Flight 415 to Los Angeles without a valid passport or identification, using an expired boarding pass for a flight the day before that belonged to someone else.

1010 WINS’ Carol D’Auria reports: Passengers Say Security Agents Fell Down On The Job

Officials say Noibi got through security and was able to board the plane. No one noticed until the flight was airborne when a flight attendant realized Noibi was sitting in a seat that was supposed to be vacant.

He showed the attendant the expired boarding pass that was in someone else’s name and then showed a University of Michigan identification card with his picture on it.

Questioned and let go....

Wait a minute, the TSA wants to stick their hands in grandma's diaper.

Nigeria no less, a Muslim country.

This guy looks foreign, speaks foreign, is from a Muslim country, the right age, foreign name, he is the absolute guy that a sane system would check, yet he was invisible to the system,.... probably for those very reasons.

No doubt about it. We need to fire the entire TSA and start over again. Not that anyone is about to do that. Obama and Incompetano just keep making the same blunders—if they are blunders—again and again, while the Republicans just stand there with their mouths open.

No unionized TSA. And time to start profiling.

Nothing about the TSA surprises me, but how did the AIRLINE let him fly with a out dated boarding pass and no ticket????

When I last flew with my family, the TSAer interrogated my kids as to who they were traveling with. Then they tried to get me into a porno-scanner. I opted for the grope.

So far, the government's effort to train people for a coast-to-coast gulag seems to be working.

That gave me an idea.
Suppose someone invented and sold a "personal alarm," similar to car alarms to go off whenever a citizen is groped by TSA. It would reset after 30 seconds.

Far as I know, personal alarms are not illegal nor prohibited by law.

It would certainly make air travel less boring...

I really feel safe when TSA lets this guy fly but has to inspect a 95 yo’s diaper.

From the linked article: "The Transportation Security Administration says Noibi was screened before he boarded the flight from New York. “Every passenger that passes through security checkpoints is subject to many layers of security including thorough physical screening at the checkpoint,” Transportation Security Administration spokesman Greg Soule said. “TSA’s review of this matter indicates that the passenger went through screening.”

Oh, OK!

But, boy, did our three cats ever get a thorough inspection by TSA when we moved from CA to TN. Curiously, all suspicious looking travelers were waved through without so much as one question.

TSA at JFK is particularly bad. I’ve been through there a few times and they are rude, lazy, and YES racist. They are mostly black and give a serious amount of crap to only the white people.

I was on line once and, when trying to juggle too many items without enough hands, dropped my quart-sized bag, which opened and dumped some of my things onto the floor.

As I was trying to scoop the items up and still duck-walk forward on the line so as not to hold anyone up this nasty TSA woman (black) came up to me and started screaming “Get moving, lady, I ain’t got all day! You be holding up the line!”.
Didn’t bother to help me pick the stuff up or anything, and I was clearly doing it was fast as I could. I also was well back from the actual screening area so wasn’t holding up anything/anyone.

Another time when I went through they had the music cranked and were —dancing— at the screening stations, mostly ignoring the passengers.

At JFK TSA is really an affirmative action jobs program for those who couldn’t get employed anywhere else.

“From the linked article: “The Transportation Security Administration says Noibi was screened before he boarded the flight from New York...”

And it wouldn’t shock me if the TSA was playing CYA in falsifying that part of the story, too.

These are not the Droids you're looking for.

The FBI said Noibi stayed in L.A. for four days and then tried to pull the same stunt on a Delta flight to Atlanta, again, with no valid ID or boarding pass. But security officers caught him with 10 expired boarding passes in his possession and he was taken into custody. He was charged with being a stowaway, but not under any terror or security laws. He faces a federal court hearing Saturday.
