As Alana wrote earlier today, according to the latest McClatchy-Marist poll:
Only 37 percent of registered voters approve of President Obamas handling of the economy, his lowest rating ever. By nearly 2-1 (61 percent v. 32 percent) voters disapprove of how hes handling the federal budget deficit. Fifty-eight percent of voters disapprove of Obamas handling of the economy, comprising 60 percent of independents, 31 percent of Democrats and 91 percent of Republicans. Not all the news was bleak for the president.
Fifty percent of voters said they had favorable impressions of him versus 44 percent who didnt. By 2-1, Americans said todays economic conditions mostly were something the president inherited rather than the result of his own policies. And overall, 45 percent said they approved of the job the president is doing, while 47 percent disapproved.

Wonder what Benedict Arnold's "internals" were?
“By 2-1, Americans said todays economic conditions mostly were something the president inherited rather than the result of his own policies. And overall, 45 percent said they approved of the job the president is doing, while 47 percent disapproved.”
Are that many people so utterly oblivious?
So long, America. We hardly knew ye.
The problem with him tanking right now is that it sets him up as the underdog. I think he is going to have a huge hole to dig out of and his magical speaking isn’t going to work this time. However we would be fools to think he is going to be an easy take down. If the economy doesn’t improve though he is going to struggle and be lucky if he is able to keep the electoral race even close.
Total propaganda...this is what you’ll read from here on out...how popular he is...lies lies and more lies.
And they say he’s beating Palin in Alaska.
I’ve come to the conclusion that there were two types of voters in 2008. There were those who voted FOR Palin and those who voted AGAINST obama. There were none who voted for McCain. Hopefully there will be more “AGAINST” obama votes this time.
Proof positive that the fifth column main stream media still has a great deal of influence, especially in the major markets. Goebbles would be SO proud.
this azzhole is still benefitting from residual white guilt.
While on the phone, ESPECIALLY if the questioner sounds “ethnic”, we may not hear how much he is despised, but come election day, we will speak loud and clear....
Nearly 60% disapprove on the budget and economy. That's terrible, toxic for any incumbent and explains why he's suddenly doing a press conference today (I hope they ruffle his feathers) and releasing oil from the strategic reserve.
How do 45% approve of the job the president is doing with such high disapproval on the budget and economy? What's buying him 15% good will? Golf fans? Affirmative action?
Just curious - does anyone look for Obama to pull off some kind of a Hail Mary such as an FDR-ish program of public works to create jobs or such?
As thin-skinned as he is, I just can’t see him accepting blame for all his disastrous policies in light of the trend in the polls.
I bet the Dem internals are AWESOME (for those of us who love freedom....)
“Only 37 percent of registered voters approve”
It was the illegal votes that put him in office. What’s being done about that?
unless he can somehow manage to pull about 3 million jobs out of his arse over the next 16 months, he’s toast
Unemployment has continued to drop under Scott and more businesses are moving to Florida. When 2012 comes around he will be in a much better position than he is now.
