No, that’s what happens when you’re about to pounce on John Stewart’s bias claims in a closing segment...and deep down you agree with him.

That’s what’s so disturbing about questions of this type.
“Journalists” like Chris consider themselves “canny”, clever and deserving of being in charge of what passes for news.

I think Wallace's poor choice of words was his attempt to appear hip. The word flake was common among younger people some decades ago and he was just demonstrating how unhip he really is. Bachman expected and deserved to be interviewed as a serious candidate answering serious questions. This was Wallace's "Couric moment".
That said, a candidate is expected to deal with awkward situations such as this without skipping a beat. she should have laughed off the question by saying something like: Obama has lowered the bar so low that I don't think we can compete with him in that department.

Nancy Pelosi has said some crazy stuff but Wallace would never, EVER have asked her if she’s a flake. He wouldn’t have asked that of any female democrat. It’s both disrespectful and sexist—treatment reserved for conservative women.
Speaking of flakes, where did Sanchez end up after CNN? I’ve been worried that he’d show up in south Florida again, but I haven’t seen any sign of him.
My theory is that during a meeting prior to the interview, during the discussion the word ‘flake’ came up and Chris latched onto it. Like they say, you can’t unring the bell.
He knew he was going to get that in and just couldn’t help himself.

This is the best thing that could have happened. Bachmann is getting a bump from Wallace’s bobbled question. She was hitting HRs the entire interview, as well.
Most of these media types think they’re important.
Actually they’re just overpaid.
More buzz, more opportunities for Bachmann to address the issues and respond to stupid questions like Wallace’s with intelligence and poise.
She’s the outsider, a dark horse. If she can take these kinds of opportunities to speak to such issues and show an audience outside of meat eating Constitutional conservatives what an intelligent, thoughtful and sincere candidate she is she will have won the day.
And bring Wallace back for the Presidential debate, if you like, and show America how big Michelle Bachmann is at the same time.
I would not have seen the entire 16 minute interview had it not been for Wallace’s “flakey” question in the last 20 seconds.

I’m so uninterested in what ANY of them say anymore that I don’t watch any national news. Their opinion of anything means less than nothing to me. Case in point - Chris Dumbass Wallace.
