It's NY. The Pink state. There is no real GOP there.

New York Republicans are responsible for passing gay homosexual marriage.

Maybe, like Ollie Snowe and Susie Collins they are rally log cabin republican rinos.

For more years than I can remember, the two houses in the NY State Assembly have almost always been split between the Republicans and the Democrats. That has meant that neither party could just run away with the state.

I think the Republicans have been playing with fire here. First the Dede Scozzafava fiasco, then the failure to agree with the Conservative Party for the next candidate. Now this.

I think the Republicans are risking losing permanent control of both houses—which will, of course, also offer the Dems more chances to cheat in the national elections.

And, frankly, they will deserve it after this gay marriage vote.

It's worth noting that New York Republicans like Nelson Rockefeller were at the forefront of some of most radically leftist policies in American society (legalized abortion, for example).

Anyone who bases their votes on party identification is a loser, in my opinion. The term "Republican" has no meaning whatsoever in the context of liberal vs. conservative political philosophies.

And the United States of America will pay a grave price. It is a very sick nation.

Quite frankly, I think the GOP is going to take a huge hit, nationwide, in 2012. The reason is, we can’t get the RINOs to stop running the show. But we have to remember, these things take time.

We have this in NY. For some time now it has been obvious to anyone paying attention that the “GOP Leadership” has been marginalizing Sarah Palin. We KNOW they are trying to push Romney upon us. Etc., etc., etc.

So, what we are going to get is a bunch of RINOS in 2012, with a smattering of Conservatives tossed in in an attempt to appease us, and an electorate that sees a hash of conflicting principles that they are NOT going to like.

It’s a hard slog, but ridding the Party of RINOs should be our highest of priorities ... and I mean over ANYTHING else. If not, we are consigned to permanent minority status.

God is going to get us all for this.

He will not be mocked.

I sometimes joke around in my SS class that all the human misery is God's fault anyway since He granted humans "free will".

But there are some things that are written in both Books which make it clear that God is not going to put up with homosexuals sticking it in our faces for very long.

He has already destroyed two towns that we know of for exactly just this behavior. The Apostle Paul warned the Corinthians about homos. Also, I think I read somewhere that one of the reasons that the Roman Empire failed is that homosexuality and welfare were rampant in the last days.

Anyway, every state and locality that enacts "homosexual marriage" is only driving the final nails in the United States coffin.

Elections have consequences....some are more consequential than others...Gov Cuomo looked really happy when he signed the bill last night....

“...Skelos, Alessi, McDonald, Saland, and Grisanti will all pay the price, and rightfully so....”

That is the first time I’ve heard, you know, actual names of the Vichy Republicans used, chest thumping means nothing at all, on 11/12, they simply should be removed from office.

And boo’d at every appearance in their districts, and their offices called from now, until Election 2012.

Pretty clear the fix was in. Only one state senator spoke against this abomination, and that was a Democrat: Ruben Diaz. New York state senate Republicans need to pay a price for this. Normally I’m pretty pragmatic, but those who can accept the GOP rolling over for gay marriage, have no decent principles at all.
