For more years than I can remember, the two houses in the NY State Assembly have almost always been split between the Republicans and the Democrats. That has meant that neither party could just run away with the state.

I think the Republicans have been playing with fire here. First the Dede Scozzafava fiasco, then the failure to agree with the Conservative Party for the next candidate. Now this.

I think the Republicans are risking losing permanent control of both houses—which will, of course, also offer the Dems more chances to cheat in the national elections.

And, frankly, they will deserve it after this gay marriage vote.

New York hasn’t given its electoral votes to a Republican candidate since Reagan won. The GOP there is toothless and worthless. Giving that scumbag Cuomo his great gay victory last night was a new low, even for RINOs.
