More cash for corrupt politicians in the name of “taxing” liberty.
Fruit & Nut Ping!
The spam monkeys will be here after a trip to Taco Bell. They get major munchies after all that ‘celebrating’.
Can you tell me what benefit comes from making pot illegal by the feds? And I don’t think any other drugs should be legal - but cripes, pot and alcohol are pretty similar AFAIC - and I don’t use pot myself, so don’t bother with the pothead label - but we’re talking a plant that people can grow in their basement or backyard, in those cases no interstate commerce comes into play - so where does the fedgov Constitutionally come into this? They have bigger fish to fry.
“More cash for corrupt politicians in the name of taxing liberty.”
Less make-work for law enforcement.
They should meet in San Francisco, CA top off their commonality.
Wonder how long it will take for the NON-CONSERVATIVE punks to arrive and spam this thread??
Now that we’ve all but banned tobacco, the libs have to give the people something to smoke. Weed is their answer. Once it is legalized, it won’t be long before heroin, opium, methamphetamine and all of the rest of that crap is legalized. Weed is just the camel’s nose.
When it crosses state lines and that's about it. Why the Congress has to "allow" States to exercise their 10th Amendment rights is beyond me. This is where Ron Paul is a hypocrite because he is admitting that Congress has such a right rather than siding with the 10th Amendment.
LOL!
Perhaps you can make a conservative, limited-government case how the fedgov can prohibit someone from growing a plant in a closet for their own use, no commerce required.
The same Barney Frank that singed onto a bill banning clove cigarettes. Now he’s a champion of personal liberty? I don’t think so.
Nice friends you’ve got there, Ron.
So make the case how the fedgov can prohibit someone from growing a few plants in their own house for their own use.
You make a very good point.
I'm not. I don't think it is Constitutional. There is no distribution even within the state in your scenario. Thats why it is hypocritical for Ron Paul to even sign on to this deal because he is admitting the FedGov has the power to start with.
I'm talking about the paul punks who spam threads screaming that other freepers aren't conservative, when it is they who are not.
As for the discussion....I get your point about the parallel with alcohol, but stand strongly against legalizing it on moral grounds. It is currently illegal, and crackpot Paul is working with one of the vilest leftists in Congress using the government to change the current laws.
NOT good.
Well, deal with me.
I don't think coke, meth or heroin should be legalized.
I think making pot a criminal offense is stupid.
And I don't smoke pot myself. It would affect my ability to do my job. But I've known others who don't have that issue. So tell me how the Fedgov should have the power to decide that those people should not smoke pot, as I sip on my vodka/diet ginger ale cocktail.
LOL!
“Fruit and Nut Alert,” couldn’t have been worded any better.
They make a great pair!
