LOL ...I used to live on LI ...Now in Japan ...First thing I notice when I go home for a visit ( which ain’t often ) is the police state . Cops everywhere you look : state , county , town , sherrifs , etc...Every 10th car is a cop car ! Yet , they can’t get there in time in a case like this ?
I’ve been living on Long Island for most of my 60 years on this planet, and I can assure you that the police here are as useful as nipples on a bull. Forget 911. You can probably get them to respond to a problem quicker if you mail them a letter. What’s worse, is that they are the highest paid cops in the country, making well over six figures on average. For that kind of money, they should assume some risk. They don’t. They hardly ever respond to ANYTHING unless they have two or three sector cars join them. More times than not, they send a female cop, as the entire department seems to have become a social experiment of sorts. I’ve learned not to rely on them.
