I’m a Palin fan first and foremost. I am angry that Bachmann did not rein in Rollins or apologize for him.

BUT your trashing of Bachmann over Rove collaboration, farm subsidies, pardons for crooks, organize for Jimmy Cahtah, MN money for taking care of foster kids/babysitting, and coordinating splitting the conservative vote needs some links to source material. Just making off the wall statements like that about ANY candidate don’t cut it. Sorry but I don’t consider you an authority.

"BUT your trashing of Bachmann..."

Red South has pushed this crap elsewhere - also all BOLDED. It is embarrassing to FR.

The Carter stuff is silly, she was young. Her conversion story is inspiring. As was Reagan's - who ALSO hired Rollins.

The Rove conspiracy stuff is raving madness.

Folks can decide to vote for someone else in the primaries for whatever reason. But the ones that say they won't vote for Michele if she is the nominee are not likely to be satisfied by any candidate except whatever specific one they are imagining as perfect.

People who are so tied to one candidate or another that they would not vote for any other that might end up on the ticket, especially someone as Right-minded as Bachmann, are not serious defenders of Freedom.

Bachmann is the real deal.

I'm not wasting my breath on Red South, but I'd certainly be glad to expound if anyone else does not know of her fabulous record.

Thanks for your info. As long as he hasn’t said anything positive about Cahtah in the past 36 years, I will forgive her, heck even Ronnie was a Dem at one time. But the Rollins trashing of Palin is the equivalent of Red South’s trashing of Bachmann in my mind.

Of course, Bachmann is in the top three tier if Palin doesn’t run, but when her campaign screws up like it did there, I among others will call her on it. She doesn’t need f**kups like that!

Katy is not a Natural Born Perry, though

(born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson; October 25, 1984) from wikipedia.

“Bachmann is in the top three tier if Palin doesn’t run”

I, personally, would put her in the top two. Whether Sarah makes up her mind or not. Of course, I was born and raised in MB’s district and still drive through it regularly though I live in WI now. So I have an informed prejudice for her in general.

I respect your positions. I just can’t agree with others who would not vote at all or who would waste their vote on a write-in even if someone as great as Bachmann is on the ticket.

That’s just kooky talk.

Regardless who anyone’s first choice might be (and we fortunately have a decent and likely growing selection), if elected Bachmann would be - BY FAR - the most conservative person in the White House since Reagan.

And, of course, I’m not insane. So, yes, I certainly would vote for Palin, Paul, Cain, or another decent conservative who might get the nomination.

If it comes to a non-conservative (Romney) nomination (which I DON’T predict), then I would not judge anyone for whatever voting options they might exercise.

If you think the TTC is a small thing that can't be explained in a way that makes national voters see how it effects them directly, then you never bothered to study the proposal and (just as important) how it was intended to be implemented.

Perhaps it would behoove you to learn what it is you are talking about first.

"Red South is a jerk."

I don't really know anything about Red South except for the totally irrational bashing of the spectacular conservative who is rapidly closing on Mittens.

Red South does prove one thing. BOLD predictions sometimes emphasize nothing but glaring ignorance.

That straw poll is meaningless: the Paul and Huntsman campaigns sent people just to vote for their candidates.

Perry flat? I thought he was strong, passionate and pointed.

Cain returned to form. Bachmann didn't connect with me, I don't (yet?) believe that she believes she can do the things she says. Santorum's speech was solid if not rabble-rousing. Paul rambled more than usual but his noisy followers ate it.

I never said TTC was a small thing, as a matter of fact I said it was one of "three major bones of contention" and it was one of the "highest flying red flags" that Perry must be prepared to address. That's hardly a small matter.

Perhaps it would behoove you to learn what it is you are talking about first.

That's good advice for anyone, you included.

I though he did fine, the headline was misleading, IMO. The writer (who probably doesn’t like Texas) finally got around to saying that Perry was a better speaker when he wasn’t tightly scripted and stuck to the podium, as if that would excuse his obvious bias.

>>>Ron Paul won the straw poll by a big margin.<<<

Right, and space cadet Huntsman finished second.

The straw poll was absolutely hilarious!

RLC 2011 Straw Poll Results

If the primary election for president were held today, for whom would you vote?

Bachmann 191
Cain 104
Gingrich 69
Huntsman 382
Johnson 10
McCotter 2
Palin 41
Paul 612
Pawlenty 18
Roemer 9
Romney 74
Santorum 30

Texas fruitcake Ron Paul got 40% in a field of 12 people! I mean really, how seriously can the Republican Leadership Conference be if 40% of the folks there are barking moonbat Paulbots! Goodness Gracious!!!
