WASHINGTON — The Republican chairman and ranking Democrat on the House Homeland Security Committee said they want the head of the Transportation Security Administration to explain how racial profiling became a common practice among TSA screeners at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) and Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss) are both seeking answers from TSA Administrator John Pistole, after a federal report found several behavior detection officers, or BDOs, had singled out Mexican and Dominican passengers for special scrutiny, bag searches, questioning and document reviews in 2008 and 2009.

Are they saying it is not at all possible that in addition to the “ethnic” identity of the individuals that they were not also observed to possess other distinctions that gave rise to suspicions having nothing to with their ethnicity, but to drugs, gangs, money laundering, or something else??
Are they denying that possibility, and assuming it was “racial profiling”, and not just good old fashioned police style criminal profiling??
Nothing is wrong with it if Mexicans, statistically, are likely to be Islamic terrorists. All this misery is supposed to be in place to stop Islamic terrorists.
King is a RINO....what does anyone expect of him?
They profile White folks repeatedly, young, old, infirm, etc. So if TSA is supposed to end profiling, then ...???

Which is why the TSA is completely useless. Sort of like hunting for snakes by looking at birds.
Did they achieve a higher rate of catching illegals or contraband than their non-profiling counterparts? I’m willing to bet they did.
