That would be ok if that's how it really worked. Unfortunately, It's the makers that support the takers. Here in the U.S. 40% of Americans feed at the government trough in one manner or another. On the tax side, 51% don't pay any tax and the bottom 25% pay negative taxes, meaning they get back more than they pay in - in some cases thousands more. I am reminded of a quote by Thomas Sewell I think, “the problem with socialism is that it eventually runs out of other peoples money”. Pretty good I thought...

Can someone please point me to the relevant portion of the Constitution that states Americans must pay taxes so that the government can give the money to other Countries?
