Following are excerpts from an interview with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, which aired on Palestinian Authority TV on June 2, 2011:
Mahmoud Abbas: With regard to [Palestinian recognition] of a Jewish state, or whatever, this has never been an issue. Throughout the negotiations between the Israeli and us, from 1993 until a year ago, we never heard the words "Jewish state." Now, they have begun to talk about it, and our response was: "Go to the UN, and call yourselves whatever you want. We are not the party to address. Not only that we refuse to recognize a Jewish state. Try to wrest it out of the UN or anyone else."
Why does Israel insist on demanding this from us, and us alone it did not demand this from the Arabs, from Egypt, from Jordan, or from any Arab country with which it negotiated? Only from us. We know the reason, and we say: "No, we refuse."
Funny coming from the “head” a non-existent “country.”
What is funny the amount of aid given to this non country.
But-but-but they need the aid, They have been refugee’s for over 60 years, and most of them haven’t hit a lick in that time.
perpetual war. That is the plan of the wild dog
Just because I refuse to recognize the existence of gravity, doesn’t mean I can step off a building without consequence. The PA needs to be careful where they step.
Refuse to recognize a nation with nukes and constantly pick fights with them...too stupid to live.
One side doesn't want peace. The other side doesn't want to be exterminated. You tell me where a middle ground can ever exist with that premise.
With all the money the Palestinians have received from the world, lo all these many years; they should have been able to build Shangri La by now. Gee, whatever happened to all that money? It sure wasn’t spent on building an infrastructure and an economy.
Abbas and his pals can say whatever they want, do whatever they want, and stock up on weapons and ammo; as long as knee-jerk liberals continue on their insane course of action.
Don’t look now, Mahmoud, but God is laughing at you.
“Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
3 Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.
4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure”

Funny as in odd, not funny as in ha-ha. ;)
A song. A psalm of Asaph.
1 O God, do not remain silent;
do not turn a deaf ear,
do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies growl,
how your foes rear their heads.
3 With cunning they conspire against your people;
they plot against those you cherish.
4 Come, they say, let us destroy them as a nation,
so that Israels name is remembered no more.
5 With one mind they plot together;
they form an alliance against you
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Byblos, Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
8 Even Assyria has joined them
to reinforce Lots descendants.
9 Do to them as you did to Midian,
as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
10 who perished at Endor
and became like dung on the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, Let us take possession
of the pasturelands of God.
13 Make them like tumbleweed, my God,
like chaff before the wind.
14 As fire consumes the forest
or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 so pursue them with your tempest
and terrify them with your storm.
16 Cover their faces with shame, LORD,
so that they will seek your name.
17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed;
may they perish in disgrace.
18 Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD
that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.
Yeah, I know. :-)
