"Again, though spoken in mangled English, Palin’s comments are pretty much right on the money. Revere was in fact warning the British, but more as a way of bragging"

Whats the big deal anyway

Revere was loooong before we even had close to 57 of our states and that's a loooong time ago to remember.

The Leftists-created Orwellian Brave New World we live in:

"Progressives" cause regression and degeneration.

The "Intellectual Elite" actually embrace and adhere to the irrational.

And here references to the bells:

History of the Battle of Lexington, on the Morning of the 19th April 1775
BY ELIAS PHINNEY
“They (British soldiers)de-tained him (Revere), with the other three prisoners from Lexington, till near three o’clock in the morning, when, finding no prospect of escape, Revere, in his turn, attempted to frighten them, by telling them, in a very triumphant tone of voice, “Gentlemen, you have missed your aim. I left Boston after your troops had landed at Lechmere’s Point, and if I had not been certain, that the people, to the distance of fifty miles into the country, had been notified of your movements, I would have risked one shot, before you should have taken me.” Another told them, “The bell’s ringing, the country is alarmed, and you are all dead men.” This appeared, in some measure, to alarm the officers.”

NOTE: THERE ARE TWO STATEMENTS INCLUDED IN THE BOOK, ONE BY Nathan Monroe(Munroe sic) and one by Amos Lock who give evidience of the ALARM BELLS RINGING.

What’s funny/sad is that liberals have so dumbed down public education, most Obama voters don’t know or even care who Paul Revere was.

My! That’s the worst “pic” of her I’ve ever seen! They must have combed through a video very carefully, looking for the worst frame to freeze!

Admittedly Palin’s wording is incredibly garbled and she did not give a very articulate response.****************

Setting all that aside for just a moment, the more important question now becomes...How do you say it in Austrian?

Hey, Palin was focusing on “warning the British” because that’s what she and the Tea Party are doing: they warning the establishment that they’ve rallied the patriots and that they (the establishment) had better get with the program demanded by the people. It’s a subtle point because who knows that, in addition to rallying the patriots, Revere, when caught by the British, told them that they had better watch out. I, myself, didn’t know it before this item.

Revere did not shout the phrase later attributed to him ("The British are coming!"), largely because the mission depended on secrecy and the countryside was filled with British army patrols; also, most colonial residents at the time considered themselves British as they were all legally British subjects. Revere's warning, according to eyewitness accounts of the ride and Revere's own descriptions, was "The Regulars are coming out."

Folks are talking about how ‘garbled’ her message is, but take into account the circumstances of this ‘interview’. She’s on vacation, it’s not a sit-down, so she hasn’t given any real thought to answering a reporter’s questions. Haven’t all of us, at one time or another, tossed off an answer on the run that sounded disjointed? She got her facts right, that’s what’s important, though the media, since their knowledge of the incident obviously comes from Longfellow’s “ Paul Revere’s Ride”, believes SHE is the one who is ignorant.
