Mischaracterization is a running theme in your posts on this thread. As far as I can see, no one is afraid of a book or books or the movie of same. The essence of my opposition is the underlying theme, and to recognize that theme as it is sourced requires a degree of spiritual discernment. The war is in a spiritual realm not easily accessed by your senses. This realm is real and it is laced with power to build up or destroy the souls of humankind.

If you want a hint as to the nature of this realm, check out Daniel Chpater five, and in fact the entire book of Daniel, for Daniel had accute spiritual discernment and the Book of Daniel does a lot of exposing of this spiritual realm so the human mind can begin to grasp the gravity of the war being waged over human souls.

Vapirism is sourced in demonic fantasies. It plays with spiritual things and leaves the unsuspecting reader/watcher with lingering doubts about the nature of the human soul and spirit andmore seriously doubts about the absolute sovereign Will of God and if That Will can be manipulated by mere mortals.

I'm going to offer to you an analogy, and please remember the analogy is not the point of the offering, what the anaology points to is the essence of the offering.

It would seem that pornography has been around for as long as men have been able to draw on rocks and dirt, and carve figurines. Societal taboos work to suppress pornographic power and sometimes in some societies the taboos use(ed) the pornographic images to empower those in leadership positions, manipulating the beliefs of the people/subjects so as to use the power of sexual desire as a tool to herd the mass of subjects.

The Bible gives us a rather stark and clear roadmap of how to perceive sexual desire and sexual energy. God doesn't ever call sexual desire an evil thing. But God does caution men and women to exercise control over their desires and gives guidelines on how to do that. By following Biblical guidelines, societal taboos help individuals to control their desires (in all things, not just sexual desires).

There is a being whom the Bible says wants desperately to destroy the souls of men and women and gather them into the hell foretold for that being. In our modern era, that being is using sex and pornography as a means to herd the unaware. Seeing this perverting of a natural human desire is the hallmark of what must be discerned spirtiually. The counter to the power such wholesale sexual exploitation applies upon the individual soul/spirit is a simple 'raise up a child in the way that they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it.'

Teaching a child what is wholesome and enjoyed with control over desires does wonders to prevent the over-sexualized society from corrupting the young. That is precisely why the source of this over sexualization seeks to remove the raising of children from the parents whom God has tasked for this job. It is also why the perverse in our society demand to be tolerated to the max, allowing them to display any sexual depravity they so wish to use for their opposition to societal taboos.

I trust the anaology is not to difficult for you to grasp. It is as easily applied to the use of alcoholic beverages, but the stark reality of a Jimmy Swaggert would be lost in such an anlogy, because apparently Swaggert could control the desire for a drink, but became so obsessed with sexual desires he knew to be too powerful that he succumbed to the same desires run amok in his consciousness.

One of the clear teachings of the Bible is found in the Biblical taboo against 'familiar spirits', and a preoccupation with the dead and the spirits of the dead. We have whole scenes from Scripture which address the dangers and the inevitable consequences of trespassing this taboo. In order to erode the influence of Biblical taboos, the evil one enlists unaware people to dance at the edges of the taboos, eroding their stark message, until one day the contemplation of vampires, the power they possess (fictionally) and the eternal life they 'enjoy' occupies the thoughts and discussions of people God has warned to not make a place for such in their hearts.

Referring to the analogy, the over-sexualization of an entire society is a reality in the peoples' midst and they are clueless to discern the manipulation of their souls. Some, and in fact most sense an uneasiness when pornography becomes too blatant and pornographers expose the dead souls they possess (Larry Flynt in the news ring any bells for you?). But to discern why this unease occurs is a reach they do not want to make, so they tolerate ever incresing sexual degradation of their society because the protective taboos have been eroded, extensively.

In Mormonism, a lying peepstone false prophet, diviner with a sexual appetite to sate defined the taboo structure of Mormonism and thus individual Mormons. Polygamy and the inherent bad things inevitable with polygamy resulted. An obsession with the dead, baptising in dunkings for lists of dead people is also a hallmark of Mormonism, contradicting clear teaching from the Bible on more than one issue, thus eroding the authority of God's directions by setting them aside to play at an ISM which is sourced in a sexcual degenerate lying peepstone false prophet! Diverting the mind away from the realities defying God is a daily exercise for the evil one. And enlisting unaware people to chastise those with spiritual discernemnt is also a daily activity for the evil one.

And before you get all hot under your collar to chastise me for 'telling it like it is', I could have use the issue of abortion and the devaluing of human life as the analogy, but I sensed through my spirit that you would more quickly catch the sexualization analogy and feel the pricking of your soul thereby.

you know, you had me believing that you were a rational being sincerely attempting to have a discussion with me regarding 'discerning' and how that is different from judgement...until you flat out disparaged my character and insulted me with this:

And before you get all hot under your collar to chastise me for 'telling it like it is', I could have use the issue of abortion and the devaluing of human life as the analogy, but I sensed through my spirit that you would more quickly catch the sexualization analogy and feel the pricking of your soul thereby.

My initial reaction to that sentence and the entire anaolgy was not a 'prickling of my soul' but rather sorrow that you appear to be the typical judgmental, holier-than-thou, log-in-your-own eye Christian. But then I would be guilty of judging you as you clearly have judged me.

Therefore I will ignore your insulting motiviation and address what you said, which does make sense and has given me a starting point for study. (Daniel)

I will say that you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I would also point out that neither protagonist in the book engages in pre-marital sex. Both are virgins until they are married and there is lot of discussion between them on that issue.

I take your points and can understand what you are saying.

However I don't choose to be mislead by books, music and societies' self-appointed leaders regarding the nature of God, man, Good and evil.

We will both go our way and one or both of us may find out we were wrong...then again, one of both of us may find out we were right.

It's all speculation and taken on faith at this point.
