Are these indications of cover-up, or just poor reporting?
Earlier this week, Pima County Sheriffs Department acknowledgeda SWAT raid where Tucson resident Jose Guerena was shot and killed during a multi-residence search warrant executed for an alleged home invasion ring.
Sergeant Bob Krygier, SWAT supervisor, said no SWAT entered the house, but that shooting commenced about two or three seconds after breaching the front door. [Page 3, line 39 of PDF document] Officers didnt enter Guerenas house until after sending in a robot to determine he was dead.
Reportedly, about $100,000 in cash, marijuana and firearms were seized that morning from the four homes that were searched that day.
However, in Guerenas house, they recovered a Colt .38-caliber handgun, paperwork, tax returns, insurance papers, bank statements and a bank card. Theres no indication if these documents were Guerenas or a robbery victims.
Krygier says they also found body armor [page 9, line 4] and an AR15 type rifle. [Page 8, line 32] Owning body armor is legal in Arizona.
When asked what Guerena was wearing when SWAT fired 80 to 100 rounds [page 4, line 6] into the house, Krygier said: he basically had a pair of boxer briefs on and that was it. [Page 9, line 13]
Earlier, the Sheriffs Department claimed to have found a portion of a law-enforcement uniform inside the house.
Krygier testified there was a US Border Patrol hat in the garage. [Page 9, line 8]
You can buy Border Patrol hats at Amazon.
The Sheriffs Department determined that Guerena did not fire at officers.
In such a situation, you should expect the homeowner to point a gun at you.
15 seconds is not long enough for a homeowner to get to the door and determine that the home invaders are legitimate police.
So that’s why they shot him, he preferred boxers.
Can’t say I blame them, I’m a briefs guy, myself.
There is as much, if not more hard "evidence" of a nefarious life in my own house, and I live in suburbia in the People's Republic of New Jersey.
I even have a pair of boxers that my wife bought me one Valentine's Day as a joke.
Plus I even have a couple of radar detectors. And duct tape. Lots of duct tape.
This whole thing reminds me of Apocalpyse Now when they stop the sanpan and everyone freaks out and shoots the boat up for no good reason.
What’s relevant is whether the items recovered are linked to the crimes being investigated.
You know there’s a BIG PROBLEM when even Sheriff Dupenik is silent on the matter.
Makes one wonder why they just didn't call in a Predator strike on the house.
Next time....
...they have all the GPS co-ordinates collected at the last census to use.
Maybe Dupnik’s crew should have to follow the same rules of engagement as our troops have to follow as they work in a war zone among people who are sworn to kill them.
Obviously Dupnik’s Arizona is a much more dangerous place than a terrorist war zone...
Because Eric Holder, Janet Napolitano, and Dupnik are keeping Arizonans oh so safe.
One gets the distinct impression that these SWAT teams members are quite the cowards. The poor guy's lying there in a pool of blood, shot 20 or mores times, and you need to send a robot into the house? Disgraceful police behavior. They should disband the lot of 'em.
he basically had a pair of BOXER BRIEFS on and that was it. (em)
Get with the times man, BOXER BRIEFS, the best of both worlds.
Yeah, you got that right. When Jared Loughner killed 6 people and wounded Representaive Giffords (and a bunch of others) Sheriff Dipstick tried to blame conservative talk radio.
"When the rhetoric about hatred, about mistrust of government, about paranoia of how government operates, and to try to inflame the public on a daily basis, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it has impact on people especially who are unbalanced personalities."
Dupnik blames Political Rhetoric
It sounds like there are more than a few unbalanced personalities in Dipstick's own department. But we are supposed to "trust government" . I don't think so.
Well, according to th bootlickers, they are as pure as the wind driven snow. Jesus Chirst and Almighty God come in second and third behind them.
“Get with the times man, BOXER BRIEFS, the best of both worlds.”
Gotta agree. Boxer briefs are the best innovation in men’s underwear ever. Provide just enough support yet allow your boys to get some fresh air. Not what you’d wear while playing sports but perfect for everyday use.
That’s a good thing.
Most folks couldn’t make one head shot at close range (and under duress) much less multiple shots. I do not know of any of the people that I shoot with that has practiced instinct shooting for close range target acquisition. Inside of 15 yards you shouldn’t have to rely on the rifle or pistol sights to make an accurate or multiple accurate shots, and that takes a lot of practice.
The next time you are on the range, set up five silhouettes and try to make a kill shot to the head by picking up the piece you are using from a bench while being constrained to a 5 second time limit.
I taught my daughters with an air soft pellet pistol.
Of course you’re not going to hit the head consistently with every shot, that’s a silly assumption. Once the adrenaline starts pounding, you’ll be lucky to know which end of the pistol has a trigger.
But if you get that one decent shot on the stack leader coming through the door and slow the rest of them down, if you keep firing you might just get enough lead down range to hit a few heads and change their minds for the better.
When the SWATwats are at your door, you can fairly much assume you’re going to die, don’t make the journey alone.
