The California State Assembly passed a bill that would allow counties to refuse to participate in the Homeland Security Department's controversial Secure Communities program. The program cross checks fingeprints from people who are arrested for crimes with Immigration and Customs records. It's designed to deport dangerous violent offenders who are also illegal residents.
Some local sheriffs say the program is getting rid of violent criminals and is making the streets safer.
But the State Assembly didn't agree in approving the bill which says counties aren't required to participate in the Secure Communities program unless they specifically chooses to.

Every illegal alien is another client for the welfare state. Every illegal ex-con is an annuity for police, parole officers, prison guard, public defender and misc bureaucrats. Why would they throw them out. They are more valuable to them then a tax paying citizen.
How about we make this a decision at the point of contact. The LEO ax’s the “illegal” if they would prefer to be deported, or if they would prefer to be left alone. I’d guess the lib’s would be all for this.
When the TX legislature wanted to ban the TSA’s sexual groping in TX airports, a federal judge in San Antonio said that federal law was supreme over state law and so the law died.
Now, CA is going to ignore federal law requiring the deportation of criminal illegal aliens. Let’s see if the federal government comes down on CA as they did TX.
GOOD POINT!
Thanks UniqueViews.
And they still want us to live, think and act like a bunch of socialist serfs when they can’t even control who comes into this State.
FYI Criminal Mexicans consider the United States an invader state---a foreign power imposed on Third World hellholes. They arrogantly refuse to refer to the US by its legal name. The US is known by Mexicans as el Norte, (the North), el Otro Lado (the Other Side), or Gringolandia (the Anglo Entity).

Georgia wont be part of the proposed Latino homeland of Aztlán, but Latino civil rights leaders from Phoenix will march and protest in different parts of Atlanta next week for immigration laws they view as unjust. Latinos wont stay at the back of the bus anymore. We are taking over this land and anybody who doesnt like it should go back to Europe, says Jorge Serrano of Take Back Aztlán. Racism should not be tolerated anymore in this country. Trying to get rid of Latinos is nothing but racist, says Cecilia Maldonado of Chicanos Unidos Arizona, who will be meeting with Latino civil rights leaders in Atlanta to propose national boycotts. Freud would have a field day with these people----that "warrior" mentality shows a distinct lack of self esteem. They actually think we are "frail white people."
ROTFL. That's what the Japanese thought. The same mistake the Mexicans made with Texans. Unlike them, Americans know how to properly hold a gun and aim it.
BTW, we will also be contending with their plans to decimate the US of A from within with stolen college educations.
TEXAS DREAM ACT DEMONSTRATION----- 2009
Vote pandering is more important than public safety.
Ping!
It is not clear how federal officials would react. Last month, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told The Chronicle that local communities cannot opt in or out of Secure Communities.
Nevertheless, Thursday’s 43-22 vote in favor of the measure is a big win for Latino advocates and other supporters, including San Francisco Sheriff Mike Hennessey, who said the federal program violates “hard-earned trust” between law enforcement and immigrants.
The bill now heads to the state Senate for consideration. Gov. Jerry Brown has not said whether he will sign the measure.
In speaking against the bill, Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, R-Twin Peaks (San Bernardino County), cited the case of Tony Bologna, 48, and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16, who were shot to death in San Francisco in June 2008. The alleged gunman, Edwin Ramos, is undocumented and, despite being convicted of two felonies as a juvenile, San Francisco officials did not turn him over to immigration officials.
Donnelly blamed San Francisco’s “sanctuary city” law for the killings. At the time Ramos committed his juvenile offenses, city officials interpreted the law as barring them from referring underage felons to federal officials for deportation.
“Shame on San Francisco and shame on anyone who would invite and protect dangerous criminals - we’re not talking about ordinary people pulled over for traffic violations,” Donnelly said. “I would urge a no vote, and I would ask one thing: I would invite you to sit in the living room of (widow) Danielle Bologna, whose family was slaughtered by an illegal alien drug thug who was put back on the street by San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy.”
Angry reaction
Ammiano reacted angrily, saying that the Bologna family has specifically asked not be used in the Secure Communities debate and noting that immigration officials were informed of Ramos’ immigration status months before the Bolognas were slain.
“That assailant was reported to ICE and you know what happened? ICE didn’t act because they were probably out busting a crossing guard or a mom on her way to work,” Ammiano said.

Theres no limit to the lengths San Francisco will go to protect lawbreaking foreigners
RAther than deport criminal aliens, including violent one, California is going to let thousands of extra felons out early from its overcrowded prisons.
