Gun Owners of America worked with Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on legislation to exempt 4473s (the form all buyers fill out when a gun is purchased from a licensed dealer) from that statutes broad provisions. Sen. Paul will offer that amendment this week, assuming Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is not able to block the amendment from being offered. Heres a major concern: Assume the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) goes to the secret court (the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA court) and argues, without anyone else in the room, that ALL 4473s should be seized as business records because they are relevant to a terrorism investigation. The word “insidious” comes to mind.
Just let PA II die.
It is not necessary and is an infringes upon that which is inalienable.
Good luck with that.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Molon Lave!
4473s’??? I’ve never filled one of those out...Guns??? I don’t own any guns...
We need to get rid of Unions in government, indeed, and it starts with the TSA and the PA disgrace and travesty of profiting from our terror weaknesses to screw us over first... cowards, they are.
A government that is unwilling to fight a war to victory overseas (and I include Bush as well as Obama here) has NO reason to demand war powers at home.
I whole heartily agree, but I'm afraid in this day and age, it's yet another tool Uncle Sugar has in controlling the population.
I've held my breath hoping a fair(er) tax code would be enacted, possibly slashing the IRS to the bone.....I’mma turnin blue ove-a here.
Wolverines!!!
