If the public schools are not taken out from the domain of the Federal government we will have no future as a free country. America, as Atlantis, will sink into oblivion.

Why doesn’t the “district’s director of nutrition services” just mind her own f’n business?

So they are banning the brown milk and keeping the white milk? Why, I wonder if...
Yep, guess it is!

I mix a container of Nestles Quick, a jar of Ovaltine and a jar of Malted Milk together. Two tablespoons in a glass w/milk and it makes super chocolate milk.

This is deranged. Low-fat milk with chocolate flavoring that does not have dumb additives is healthy, for heaven’s sake.

The public school system does excel in one thing- teaching students to grow up to be servants of the Nanny State.

When Bosco is outlawed.....
Seriously, what is to stop some enterprising 5th grader from selling squirts of Bosco to his friends during lunch? Especially if he brings his own? "Gimme a quarter, and I'll....enhance your dairy beverage."

Let’s see - we can let children have a healthy drink that they like, or we can make them buy something to throw away. Easy decision for those that want to teach submission to the rulers.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself) The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

When my kids were swimming they were told that chocolate milk was the best thing they could drink. Somehow after that kind of very rigorous exercise, you bounced back best with chocolate milk. Likely it could be the extra carbs and it wasn’t just a sugar fix.

Reminds me of the cafeteria line in the movie “The Island”.
To: Qbert
"Consuming chocolate milk every day can train a child's palate toward sweetened foods," said Rosemary Dederichs, the district's director of nutrition services. The district's chocolate milk also contains high-fructose corn syrup.
Does that mean they'll also get rid of french toasts sticks with artificial maple syrup for breakfast and pancakes and jam and jelly with the kids white bread toast?
What morons. They're going after one of the few foods that's actually GOOD for the kids, even with a little bit of flavoring.
Besides, one half pint of chocolate milk is going to corrupt the kids for good? I don't think so.
Is having a lobotomy now a requirement for working within the public education establishment these days?
