Schumer lies like this on a regular basis. What REALLY bothered me about this latest exercise in dishonesty is that no one in the media questioned it. His ridiculous assertions and misrepresentation were reported as factual representations of reality.

"President Obama frequently says Americans 'need to end our $4 billion in annual taxpayer subsidies to oil companies.'"

Then, why does he use "taxpayer subsidies" to support Soros' "oil companies" in Brazil?

I recommend this article from the Heritage foundation. Much more informative.

These tax deductions are equivalent or similar to deductions claimed by every US business, large and small.

Even solar and wind power companies, wonder what the tree huggers think about that?.So much for the evil oil Co.

Only mad dogs, environmentalists, liberal Democrats and RINOs would buy into such nonsense.

Just more ways to shuffle OPM. Pathetic.

The subsidies provided to the oil industry pale in comparison to the billions paid for the ethanol boondoggle. Not only are ethanol producers subsidized, but so are farmers growing the corn. Sadly more than a few Republican farm state members of Congress are whores to the ethanol industry.

“Shepherds Flat will be the world’s largest wind farm: 338 gigantic 2.5 MW turbines, 97 miles of new roads and 167 miles of high voltage transmission lines sprawling across 32,000 to 83,000 acres (up to twice the size of Washington, DC) of the scenic Columbia River Gorge area. At best, the turbines may average one-third of the 2.5 MW stamped on their nameplates. At the whim of the winds, the farm will generate electricity at wild swings between zero and the turbines’ combined rated capacity of 845 MW. “

What a boondoggle.
