Goodwin Liu is the worst of all of Obama’s nominees and IMHO the DemocRATS plan to eventually put him on the Supreme Court. He says that the Constitution requires that the government pay welfare benefits and redistributes rights rather than upholding them for all. He has to be stopped now!

Time to see if Juan McLame and Lindsey Grahamnesty will actually invoke the "extreme measures" provision of the gang of fourteen agreement. Surprisingly, McCain said earlier today he would filibuster.

The Republicans currently in office don’t have the guts to shoot this one down. Token resistance at best. Liu will be confirmed.

This man is only 40! He would be a force on our SCOTUS for DECADES! He must be stopped!

They need 7 Pubbies to vote for this jerk to stop the filibuster. McLame and his sidekick Lindsey have said they will vote FOR the filibuster. Now it is up to the weak sisters from Maine, pretty-boy Scott Brown, twinkle-toes Kirk from Illinois and the others who voted for that jackass McConnell to provide one more vote for the filibuster.
It does not look good.

Calm down. This is a 9th circus appointment. That’s terrible but not nearly the killer a SCOTUS appointment would be. Fortunately, if he’s stopped now he may never be considered by a future Democrat president.

The spineless solons who are supposed to be on our side must fight and prevent packing the judiciary with individuals with Mr. Liu’s philosophy. They need to convey the message payback is a bravo india tango charlie hotel.

Partial-birth abortion luvin' Mark Kirk is a guranteed YES vote, even if he decides to feign "concern" about the nominee so he claim his decision later on "took a great deal of research and wasn't reached lightly". I know Kirk's record in the House and he is well to the left of McCain and Graham. Which made it all the more ridiculous for freepers to argue they'd vote for a Democrat over McCain but that Kirk is acceptable.

Additionally, you will note that Mark Kirk supported Elena Kagan’s nomination, while McCain had opposed it. BOTH were up for election to the Senate in 2010, the “McCain only voted that way because he facing voters” argument is irrevelevant.

This guy is the worst of Obama’s nominees so far. He has smeared Republican judicial nominees in the past and legal writings are appalling. Here are some of the positions he advocates, including his claim that the Constitution guarantees certain people the right to receive welfare checks.

If he gets confirmed to the Federal Appealate Court and Obama is reelected, he’ll eventually be nominated to the Supreme Court. He has to be stopped now.

That's okay, the rest of the forum lost confidence in YOUR predictions long ago, when "fiscal conservative" Mark Kirk wouldn't even vote to make the tax cuts permanant (voting even more liberal than I predicted! Guess you got me, I thought he might vote decent on that ONE issue), and "the lame duck killer" handed Obama at least 5 or 6 major victories during the lame duck session. So nobody cares about you gloating about the 10-20% of the time your socialist does something decent. We all know you'll love Mark Kirk no matter how he votes. He made sure to get Jack McConnell confirmed and I didn't see you upset with that one.
Tell, why are you on this forum anyway? FreeRepublic is for conservatives and conservative issues. Meanwhile you're cheerleading for a guy who's more liberal than Hillary Clinton on abortion and to the left of Obama on envirowackoism. Shouldn't be posting on some forum where they share your love of liberals?
