McCain applauds Obama sanctions against Syria (he praises Obama's "strong and principled action")

WASHINGTON -- Arizona Sen. John McCain joined three other senators Wednesday in supporting President Barack Obama's decision to impose sanctions on Syrian leader Bashar al Assad and other top Syrian officials.

McCain signed the statement along with fellow Republicans Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Marco Rubio of Florida and Independent Joe Lieberman of Connecticut.

"We applaud President Obama for imposing sanctions on Bashar al Assad and other top Syrian officials," the senators' statement said. "The President's strong and principled action today should send an unmistakable message that the United States stands in solidarity with the brave protesters in Syria and that the Assad regime has lost legitimacy in our eyes.

"We urge our European allies and other partners around the world to work now with the United States in targeting Bashar al Assad with similar measures. We also hope the President will use the opportunity of his speech tomorrow (Thursday) to talk in detail about the situation in Syria, and make clear that it is time for Assad to go."

I have frequently had questions about McCain’s true intentions.

Ya, he also said we would have nothing to fear if Obama became president an that he'd make a good president... when has he ever commented as positively regarding any conservative in office or out? McCain's a flea bag,"get out-a here ya mangy mutt..."

I’ve finally figured out why McLame repeatedly sucks up to Obama and showers him with praise. If McLame can create the perception that Obama is great and noble and praiseworthy it makes the trouncing McLame took from the Obama cartel seem less demeaning; his being trounced by a great personage.

But if everyone sees the truth of the matter; that McLame was trounced by a Kenyan-born, illegal alien, two-bit community agitator who never managed so much as a pushcart selling hotdogs; THAT makes McLame look pretty puny!

McCain’s lips must be sore from continually kissing Obama’s rear.

Lets face it he has a man crush on Barry. In a race to get their heads in Barry’s lap first it would be a real contest between him and Chris Mathews

I have serious questions about Rubio's intentions, lining himself up with these degenerates.

McCain should have been Obama’s running mate instead of plugs.

How was this guy ever selected to run against Obama in 2008? He and his kind need to be removed from public office. And it starts in 2012. He's done in 2016.

I wonder how the Rubio admirers will view that association. Some won't be too thrilled.

Juan almost always has a hidden agenda.

Hidden? LOL. He was quite clear about his agenda--to "mentor" as many new GOP Senators and Representatives as possible--in the last election.

One only need look at Lindsey Graham to see what happens to a Senator or Representative who is "mentored" by McCain.
