- Perhaps, but Northern Europe didn't get rich by adopting policies resembling what Obama today is doing to the US.
This, Obama could never achieve:

You are kidding, right?
All of them have universal health care and very high taxes. And very low unemployment and decent econ growth. So they do prove certain things wrong.
At least Norway allows North Sea drilling.
Did anyone ever think that places like Northern Europe and Japan can be “successful” because they don’t have to spend very much on their military, since they fall under America’s umbrella? Who’s going to protect us so that we can allocate everything to “butter” instead of “guns” like they do?
Didn’t Sweden throw the socialists out of government last year?
They apparently drink heavily in Sveden.
But how “successful” is northern Europe when you come right down to it?
WE NEED TO IMPLEMENT AMERICAN POLICIES FROM OUR SUCCESSFUL PAST... AND EUROPE WOULD BE RUSSIAN TERRORITY TODAY IF IT WERE NOT FOR US SO... MOVE TO EUROPE IF YOU THINK THAT SYSTEM IS BETTER.

“You are kidding, right?”
- I’m definitely not kidding.
USA too could enjoy annual GDP growth rates of 5-7% if you only would lower corporate taxes and restore a healthy business climate all over your magnificent nation.
One basic difference between investing in Sweden and America nowadays is that it simply doesen’t pay off to “found” anything in America any longer.
There’s got to be a major, underlying reason why the Northern European economy (Netherlands, Germany, the Nordic Countries) is so strong nowadays.
I’d say more and more voters over here as well as politicians are beginning to realize that Capitalism is the only force that could build prosperity and create more jobs.
Socialism definitely is on the decline in my part of the World, belive it or not.
You might have forgotten about Capitalism:) - we never will!!
“Didnt Sweden throw the socialists out of government last year?”
- The Swedish Socialists have lost two elections in a row
(2006 and 2010).
There is still hope for this tiny country.
Unlike the US, we have dared to invade Russia with infantry, artillery and cavalry troops although being heavily outnumbered from the start.
Perhaps you should study the history of a certain battle like that of Narva before posting anything more along these lines:
They didn’t fight any NAZIs, that I know.
They were “neutral”.
What, become 90% white? It would work - at a cost.
The U.S. has had a long history of admiration for the Brits - justifiably since that is where a lot of our political and economic ideas came from.
But we are NOT the offspring of the present day Brits - we are their cousins.
Long ago, Britain diverged from its more admirable past and sunk into a sea of politically correct, one world globalism and its associated socialism.
We should be learning from their mistakes, not following their lead.
The thing about Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands in particular which disturbs me is the presence of so many vile Muslims there, and the failure of the governments and people to take a stand in defense of their religion, their culture and their heritage against these savage fiends and their evil cult. I know the same thing is happening here, but because America never was an ethnic state, combatting them is difficult. But European Countries have a long history as ethnic states.
Also, I thought Northern Europe was run by socialist, politically correct governments.
My guess is their welfare rolls are pretty small also.
When you surrender freedom for security, you generally have neither.
I understand the top corporate tax rate is Sweden is 26.3%. In America, the top corporate tax rate is 35%. It is interesting to see “Socialist” Sweden with a much lower corporate tax rate than the United States.
