But here we have Michelle Malkin letting Gregory set the agenda with his leftwingtard talking points. You'd think she'd figure out by now why anything flowing from THAT SOURCE is necessarily illegitimate.

Doesn't have a thing to do with Newt. He has things he's done and things he's written, and speeches he's given. He has his name on legislative proposals form way back so we can look at what he really thinks. We know that so why do we have so many Republicans and Conservatives sucking on Gregory's nether regions this morning? What's wrong with you people?

WE CANNOT allow Leftwingtard generated "sound bytes" control the course of the election.
The time to stop that is now, else we'll end up with another McCain and Goober will win again.

That bears repeating. Newt was instrumental in balancing the budget during the 90's. He deserves a fair hearing as do all of the candidates. Stop with the food fight frivolity and recognize that you are being manipulated.

Stumbles? I’d say he showed his nasty a$$ at conservatives, TEA Party followers and most of the GOP. He is now a distraction in GOP primaries and a useful idiot for the Democrats.

It all makes sense if you see Newt for the ruling class elitist that he is. Just another arrogant fool intoxicated by his own will to power.

Number eight of James Owens ‘The Code of the West’ is:
“Talk less, say more.”
That’s something Newt has never been able to do. He talks a lot an says little and that can and will always get you in trouble with the media. Time for a straight shooter one who cuts to chase and uses few words and gives short common sense answers.

I wonder if Newt is positioning himself to be this election's McCain. This kind of language will get him the votes of the hordes of Demonrats who will cross over and vote in the NH primary, then the media will hype him as the "front runner."

If Newt has eliminated himself (I hope so), his departure and that of Huckabee (and the "stumbling" by Romney as well) simplifies the field by removing some of the faux conservatives.

“For example, divorcing his wife on her death bed in order to bed some bimbo showed a level of cluelessness that most of us can only aspire to.”

Absolutely not true. SHE initiated divorce proceedings before she got sick with a BENIGN tumor of some sort. She is very much alive today. The media AND Newt have allowed that lie to fester for years.

Having said that, Newt wins the record for the quickest campaign demise in political history.

I have posted on behalf of Newt Gingrich in the past but I have to withdraw my support in the aftermath of his inexplicable performance on Meet the Press.

His sleight of Paul Ryan was not just gratuitous, it was traitorous. Ryan's plan is the Republican plan, it was passed unanimously by the Republicans. Gingrich not only betrayed his own party, he betrayed his previous statements. This is a flat-out flip-flop. It did not advance his candidacy, it could not conceivably have advanced his candidacy and so it was inexplicable and therefore stupid.

Worse, Gingrich endorsed mandated healthcare insurance and in a stroke undercut the main objection of the Republicans not just in the Congress but in virtually every state in the country to Obama care. He actually supported the worst feature of the Obama plan.

In an eerie parallel to his gaffe about the Ryan plan which was inexplicable and stupid, his support of mandatory insurance was equally inexplicable and stupid because it put him in the same position as Mitt Romney whose campaign is stumbling because of Romney care in Massachusetts. Even judged as a cynical campaign ploy by Gingrich it was stupid because it could not possibly advance Gingrich's own candidacy.

These blunders are all the more dumbfounding coming as they do from the candidate who is supposed to be the smartest guy in the room. My support for Gingrich had been predicated on his relative merits compared to the other candidates. But this performance puts him way below the others and I can no longer justify him on a relative basis.

Sadly, it leaves us with governors Romney, Daniels, Pawlenty and Palin, which I see as two rinos, a conservative with no charisma and another conservative who will not run. We also have a congresswoman, Bachmann, whom I adore but do not believe can win. We have another congressman, not a conservative but a libertarian who has disqualified himself as much as has Gingrich by his remarks concerning Osama, Ron Paul. We have two businessmen, Trump, who will implode because he is not the real Teflon Don, and Herman Cain who has charisma and style but no political record. I could live with Cain but I do not know if he can win. We have a genuine conservative in former Sen. Santorum but he, alas, is tainted with the aura of a loser and he has a serious charisma deficiency.

But this is why we have primaries and we will have to see who emerges. By this time next year I'm sure we will all be enthusiastically behind one of these individuals or someone I have not anticipated. It is discouraging today, however, to consider that our prospects rest with this field.

Yes, we can pretend because, it turns out, any Republican response given to a Leftwingtard question can be interpreted to their benefit ~ so what you do is stay off those shows, don't watch them, and attack people who try to infiltrate their material into Free Republic.

Not true. You get this scenario only when the Republican response is pandering to sound like a moderate. Have you ever seen someone like, oh... Ted Nugent on a liberal show? It's beautiful in that he leaves no doubt where he stands. His position can't be twisted by the host because his position is so perfectly clear that it doesn't allow itself to be twisted.

How does Newt stack up with conservatives today?

Long past his "Sell By Date."

Hmm, and Ted balanced the US budget how many years?

Think you'll ever hear a Gregory type ask Newt how to balance the budget?

You won't hear them ask anybody that question unless it's Rand Paul ~ and it'll be tied into "Will you set a high or a low tax on cocaine"?

See Lazz, you can’t give it up ~ you refuse to admit Gregory seized your mind and is now using it to beat up on Republicans. Bwahahahahahaha!

NEWT.

SAID.

WHAT.

HE.

SAID.

Get over yourself. Nobody is a Jedi Master. In politics, you live or die on what you said.

That said, you are THE ONLY PERSON in America presently defending Newt. I guess we can live with one freak.
