Two men trying to buy weapons including AK 47s and hand grenades as part of a plot to attack Manhattan synagogues were arrested in New York City, averting a terror threat, law enforcement sources said.
This is the 13th plot thwarted against the city since the Sept. 11.
The men were arrested last night in Midtown Manhattan as part of a police operation that had begun prior to Osama bin Laden's death and was not a result of any retaliatory plan, sources said.
While the suspects talked about attacking synagogues in Manhattan no specific synagogue had been targeted.

The two men, at least one of whom was a muslim of North African descent, had already obtained some guns and were trying to buy more more, as well as a grenade.

As for disinterest of the FBI, they have been trained not to endure the headaches and handcuffs associated with investigating anything Islamic.

How the press and elites are working so hard to keep people from realizing we are in a 9th century war. It has come to the point where these attacks are happening regularly, with people being killed and maimed (such as Fort Hood) and the MSM is working very hard to keep people from realizing what is really going on.

And ABC knows there were only 13 plots thwarted? Pompous loons.
Its not surprising they have a history of this all their lives.
They backed FDR even though he turned away the St. Louis and was send back to Hamburg and those Jews were killed after being mocked that nobody wanted them.
The FBI also wouldn’t investigate the attempted railroading of three white students who were falsely accused of rape and threated with death by the Black Panthers (among others) in one of the most corrupt towns in the South (Durham).
Reverse the colors (and insert “klan” for “black panthers”)
and see how fast the FBI would have arrived on the scene.
The legendary FBI (as portrayed by Efrim Zimbalist and Jimmy Stewart) may have existed at one time; but that legend sure has been tarnished in the past few years...
