President Obama plans to unveil a blueprint on Tuesday of what he wants Congress to include in a comprehensive immigration reform bill, according to senior administration officials. Obama is scheduled to visit El Paso, Texas, with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano as part of the White Houses increased efforts to return immigration reform to the national spotlight. A senior administration official told reporters in a conference call Monday evening that Obamas renewed push for an immigration bill was not merely a political move attempting to paint Congress as the inhibitor and the White House as the doer in the eyes of Latino voters ahead of the 2012 elections.
While it may be true that there are significant obstacles in Congress, we believe the American people expect the policymakers to do their job, said an official. So we do not accept the argument that because there are some in Congress who are unwilling to act that we ought to just wash our hands of trying to get this done....
Despite the new, more conservative Republican majority in the House, administration officials insist that legislative prospects have not dimmed. White House press secretary Jay Carney said Obama and his staff are congenital optimists about getting something passed, but acknowledged that Republican support for reform has ebbed in recent years...
White House officials are scheduled to take part in at least 30 talks throughout the country with community, business and law enforcement leaders on the topic of immigration reform over the next several months, according to the official on the call.
Building support and applying constituent pressure on Congress has been at the heart of the White Houses strategy in recent months, as the president has met with influential Hispanic leaders from all walks, from Hollywood to Capitol Hill....

An engraved invite was issued to the Pelcastre brothers of Dallas---the WH was pleased with the way the two undermined US ntl security.

Texans accused of selling counterfeit IDs (impoverished illegals "here for a better life" pay several thousand $$$ for fake ID's)
Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, NJ L/E authorities said.
The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses for any state in the US, passports and resident alien cards, said state police.
The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker.
Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot. Authorities wouldn't identify the NJ hotel by name for fear it would spark retribution. The Drug Interdiction Task Force regularly runs checks.
The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. Authorities approached the Texas brothers when they returned to the NJ hotel and questioned them separately.
The Texas brothers consented to a search. Police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs. All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street when sold to "impoverished illegals." Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 Social Security cards. ####
Ping!
He needs the votes. Clinton pulled a fast one with making a lot of people citizens at the last minute to get himself elected. He had INS drop background checks and rush everyone in the process through to citizenship so they could vote for him. And they did.
Clinton delegated it to Algore, whose “Citizenship USA” program naturalized more than 1 million aliens; a couple of hundred thousand of those were never subject to a background check before they were allowed to become citizens, during Congressional hearings, witnesses testified their FBI background check requests were simply thrown away; another 100,000 who were checked and found to have significant criminal records were naturalized anyway. This was under the INS directorship of Doris Meissner, who “advises” BO on immigration. At that time, there were two — yes two — INS workplace enforcement officers for California, Nevada and Arizona combined.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, La Lydia. Obambam is going to do the same thing.
