First Class all the way. Don’t really know how Obama can take any credit as he slammed the Bush Doctrine every chance he could.

Neither president should be given more than passing mention of credit for any of this. One authorized the means to accomplish the mission and the other continued those means. Making the decision to go forward is the job of the president whomever that may be. The intel and troops over 10 years of effort deserve the credit; not some pandering, pimple on the ass of time politician, who finally made the right decision based on political expediency. Bush is right not to interject himself into der Fuehrer’s self-aggrandizing campaign rally.

Out side the echo chamber that is FR, it will be played and seen as sour grapes by Bush’s part.

It doesn't matter because President Bush will be bashed ANYWAY, just like he has been for over 10+ years. I am glad he is not going to prop up the effin' loser who is grubbing for personal and political points.

Obama has claimed this as "his" victory, let him enjoy his imaginary "spoils" all by his pathetic self.

Plus another notch on the sheeple's "intellect" in how partisan Republicans can be.

Sometimes a leader (Past in this case) must go Machiavellian in order to save society from those who "just don't get it" so that they can be informed and "deprogrammed" by disingenuous as well as revisionist history.

This thing is shaping up to be another “Wellstone Memorial.” The liberals I know are positively giddy. They can’t help themselves. Watch as it eclipses new heights of partisan-tacky.

Indeed...and there are actually educated people who purposely spell the name with U to distinguish it from an American Marxist name...particularly for those who quickly skim articles.

There are also educated people who will be interested in what Interpol has on this site:

The military did a job that needed to be done. I admire them and am thankful we have men in uniform able to pull off such difficult missions.

I have admired the way the Japanese people have conducted themselves during recent disasters. They have shown class under pressure.

I don’t like to see anyone’s death celebrated like we saw on tv that night. I noticed that most of the revelers celebrating Osama’s death were young people. You take 10 years off their ages, they were small children on 9/11/01.

I saw very few adults involved. Just wondering how they decided to all show up in the same places that late at night and celebrate in this manner. Those pictures did NOT make our nation look good.

I saw the protestors at a Tea party event last year. They had this same look and they acted like they had been partying all day. Over behind a building we saw the buses that were used to bring in the rentamob. They had tables where union leaflets were being handed out.

I strongly suspect most of these partiers were rented for a show of support for Obummer’s decision. Afterall, if that many folks go out late at night to celebrate, then he must have made the correct decision, right?????? It’s just another campaign event to Obummer and the DNC!

Kind of ridiculous to have a celebration for killing one man, when there are still so many terrorists out there. Celebrate military victories yes, but an assassination of a figure, whose time was long past as being the big dog in the War on Terror, while a great moment, is hardly something worth such a ceremony. Bush was right to turn this down.

You might want to check out the spelling in the 9/11 Commission Report too:

http://www.9-11commission.gov/report/index.htm

Overall, whether the name is spelled with an O or a U once it has been translated into English is not all that important. Knowing the truth about the man...and all the facts about how and why he was killed is of far more consequence.

;-)

I think you underestimate the American people. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see through Obama doing his dance in the end zone as if he carried the ball himself.

This whole thing has to be so embarrassing for the Clintons. He had at least 8 chances to kill Bin Laden. Maybe Gorelick will accompany Ubama to Ground Zero.

What a class act Geo W is. So very happy he decided to not attend.

I'm not sure what there is to attend. This is little more than a warmed over campaign stop for Obama. Look for lots of union members and children to be cheering him on.

Actually, you hit on something in your post. If Bush wanted a bit of the spotlight, and an opportunity at some self deprecating humor that would also draw attention to reality, he would have accepted, but asked for 2 minutes to make a statement.

Then he could have said, "I want to congratulate President Obama for finishing the job that was started almost 10 years ago. I'm sure, somehow this is all my fault." Then just sit down and disappear.

"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see through Obama..."

Do you converse with collectivists and moderates?

Most collectivist have hot flashes when the lay their eyes on Obama, while moderates, or those who think they are above political bickering i.e. the ideological, self-proclaimed "independents", blame Bush for lighting the match (On the current state of the economy). The reason, because Bush was a domestic milquetoast which the democrats took full advantage of.

There are tens of millions of these collectivists and tens and millions of these "moderates", plus tens of millions who are apathetic because the say to themselves, "Why bother voting at all."

If Americans see through Obama as well as the democrats, why is there an Obama Presidency ("They" refused to see through him the first time) and a lot of democrats running around DC?

As an agent of the State, should political leaders seek out loved and be used for their own gain or feared and be cunning enough to cut off your enemies desires?

"Men are less worried about harming somebody who makes himself loved than someone who makes himself feared, for love is held by a chain of obligation which, since men are bad, is broken at every opportunity for personal gain. Fear, on the other hand, is maintained by a dread of punishment which will never desert you."

Perhaps if Bush chose fear instead of love (We are talking matters of government rule found in Romans 13, not Christian piety), Pelosi, Obama, along with Reid would have never gained to positions of power and played the Republicans like fiddles for 4 years until thankfully, enough people woke up (Too close for comfort though) to at least stall the onslaught.
