Just got back from a funeral and then this!

Oh, how EXCITING.
Seriously, why bother, Gingrich? You KNOW the pictures of you surfing the couch with Nancy will kill any chances. Or are you just doing this in order to get some nubile young interns to hang with each day for a few months? We know how much you like that.

That picture right there is all I need to see to confirm I will not be voting for Newt.
For me, it's Sarah Palin or nobody.

I could agree to that. The man is smart and the good Lord knows we cant afford to waste brains and talent but his character issues preclude the Presidency. Newt's an "idea" guy. Problem is, a lot of his ideas are bad: global warming, bi-partisanship, his commitment to marriage, etc.
Newt, then, is best employed as an "idea guy" by somebody who can sort thru and reject the bad stuff, but champion the good stuff. Making him a cabinet secretary actually requires that he run an organization -- which is beyond Newt. Instead, he's the quintessential "kitchen cabinet" guy that a President can ignore if he/she needs to.

I kinda like him as UN Ambassador. Let him put his caustic wit and prickly-pear temper to good use.

He is overexposed to the BELTWAY virus, and is insensitive to the folks back home. He is the spoiler who compromises like the pros, and end up with more of the SAME.
To: StatenIsland
He just isnt listening, is he? How many times do we have to say “dont bother Newt”, before he buys a clue?

Newt has had his day. I thank him for his service, but that couch sit down with Nancy Pelosi, and a forum where he spoke so glowingly about FDR?
He is a reach-across-the-aisle type now, I liked him better as a bomb thrower for our side!

How many times do we have to say dont bother Newt, before he buys a clue? It's probably going to take a couple of single-digit showings in the primaries.

Gingrich is guilty of more than just having an affair. He allegedly handed his first wife divorce papers while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer treatment. And he was involved in an affair with his current wife, Callista, when she was a young staffer in his office in the mid-1990s — as he was pursuing impeachment of President Clinton for lying about an affair with a young White House staffer. It's a perfect storm of infidelity, callousness, arrogance and hypocrisy.http://spectator.org/archives/2011/04/26/newts-greatest-liability
