MIAMI -- U.S. Department of Agriculture officials are in Florida publicizing a new program to address discrimination claims by women and Hispanic farmers.

Deputy Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Fred Pfaeffle (FEF'-ell) spoke Friday with farmers in south Miami-Dade County about the program. The effort follows the federal government's agreement last year to provide $4.6 billion for black and American Indian farmers' class action claims of discrimination. Pfaeffle said the women and Hispanic farmers who have filed claims have not been able to get class action status.

simply a re-distribution of wealth.
Take from those who earned it, worked for it, studied for it then lived it and give to those slackers who failed at every turn.
I’m to where I actually hate this marxist shit.

Here is a silly question. Why am I, the taxpayer, responsible for some perceived government discrimination?

Well gee. Women are the majority in this country; how could they be a victim minority?

And as for "Hispanics" (how can we make that word seem much more grand and impressive?), why are the descendants of the Conquistadors considered "victims"?

Seems to me they have a 500 year history of victimizing and intimidating pretty much everyone else in the Western Hemisphere. Their only claim against the Anglo-Saxons is that they lost to them.

Too bad about that. Good for the rest of the world.

4.6 billion?

What the heck is that supposed to buy? How many "farmers" are actually involved? How much goes to "manage" this "project" (meaning, how much will it cost to create and run a - probably permanent - government bureaucracy for this)?
