Twenty-two percent of adults in the study who claimed they suffered from attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder tried to skew test results to make their symptoms look worse, according to a new report based on the medical records of 268 patients and published in the journal The Clinical Neuropsychologist.

You might have ADHD
Phony claims of “Bi-Polar”, ADD, etc. are used widely to get SSDI paid and we wonder where the money goes? (Also pays illegals with benefits, too).
Wait'l it starts paying for suicide bombers. That's going to be fun.
heh If they had such drugs when I was growing up, my folks probably would have drugged me out!
A woman who’s blog I read, was just diagnosed with this. I am skeptical BUT she was immediately put on medicine! Helps BIG PHARMA! I am always amazed how people just start popping whatever their dr gives them without looking into the side effects!
If there is a government check involved, yes, people will fake it
Personally I think that the medical terms ‘bipolar’ and ADHD are phony in and of themselves. I do not claim to be an expert though, I am only stating the impression I get from the new outburst I have seen of people (and kids) claiming to have these conditions and being medicated.
Uhhh, what did you say? I got distracted by the shiny ink bottle on my desk.
That's a plus.
I sure miss the blackberry brady floats mom would make to get us to calm down at night
Although I've met persons who were
pretty good candidates for the dx
They are usually not the ones
who bring up the subject
Adult attention issues are
much more likely to be related to:
1. Poor Sleep hygiene / sleep apnea
2. Substance Use / Abuse
3. Undiagnosed mood disorders
4. Caffeine overuse / Prescription drugs
If I was going to fake having something, I think it would be Tourette’s syndrome.
Cartman’s “Golden Ticket”?
;)
Poor Sleep hygiene?
s’ok I was bored with the article by then anyway.
1 in 4 may be faking it.... How about 100%. When did ADIDIT become fashionable?
“When did ADIDIT become fashionable?”
