The mother of an aspiring lawyer from China who was sexually assaulted and beaten to death with a metal pipe by a drunken brute in Queens lashed into the killer yesterday as a judge slapped him with 22 years to life -- but said he would have preferred to sentence him to death.
"You beast! Give me back my daughter!" Yu Yao's mother, Guihua Yu, shouted in Mandarin as she pointed to her daughter's murderer, Carlos Salazar Cruz.

If someone did that to my Chinese/American daughter, he would not be alive. Even if I had to hire an illegal alien mezzican prison gang to carry out my sentence.
If New York courts are allowing perps to use drugs and alcohol as excuses to get lower sentences I think we need to seriously discuss building a wall with guard towers and autofire machine guns between the United States and New York.

Janet Incompetano is always harping that the Mexican border is secure because the crime rate near the border is low. Crimes like this one in New York don’t count.

IIRC, New York no longer has a meaningful death penalty. There was no chance of a death penalty.
That said, the (failed) nation of Mexico tends get involved when one of its nationals are sentenced to death. This complicates things for state, and might even involve Feds. As a result most states are reluctant to sentence illegal aliens to death.
So, once again, invading barbarians have more rights than Citizens...
Sad story. Might have had a different ending if NY was a concealed-carry state.
