No word of yet whether part of Obama's instructions to his underlings are to keep him away from "bitter clingers" and "typical white people".
Glad he is going though. Alabama may have HUNDREDS dead. 660 in hospital with many critical and not expected to survive. 50+ bodies in the street east of Rosedale housing complex not added to confirmed death toll as of 1100hrs CST. Many reports of moans and screams in debris piles not yet reached by motorized vehicles hundreds of yards from trama/rescue stations. And this is just Tuscaloosa...horror stories in Birmingham and other towns on twitter and radio chatter.
Prayers for Alabama today and two Freeprs who lost loved ones in the recent storms.

There must be a good golf course in Alabama.

Politicians need to stay away from such disasters as all they can do is get in the way and consume resources that could otherwise be used to help the local residents.

Prayers for Alabama and Freepers.

He doesn’t want to be accused of fundraising while yet another red state suffers from a natural emergency.
He doesn’t give a damn if the entire state blows away. But he *hates* bad press. Its his Achilles heel.

Can’t fault him this time. We have six dead, so far, in Greene Co. Tn where our home is. It’s one of the things our CIC is supposed to do. No doubt he’d rather not go, but politically he has to.

Somehow, he will figure out a way to blame the rich; Wall Street; and all of his political opponents.
He only knows one thing- campaigning.

I guess the % of minorities impacted has finally reached a sufficient level. Either that, or some golf courses in the area finally got enough rain to really be in tip-top shape.

Such sadness, such devastation with these tornadoes. Can you provide the Freepers'. names. We pray for all and look for legal charities to which we can donate $.
Also, if Freepers are personally Free Republic friends we can contact one another. Only Freeper names; not real names. So many tornadoes; such great sadness. Prayers for everyone in tornadoes path. And, prayers for those for whom no one else prays.

Obama signs a check as Texas burns down.
