I misread it to but this seems to state that Dr. West delivered Obami.

Actually, it appears that Barbara Nelson (who apparently did not know the Dunhams and was not present at the birth) claimed Obama was delivered by Dr. Rodney West.

So it's kind of a double hearsay almost 50 years after the fact, with Dr. West not around to say whether he did or did not state to Barbara Nelson back in the summer of 1961 that he had delivered Stanley Dunham's child. She could well have just assumed he had made the delivery, since he was talking about it.

The point of posting this was just to show that Snopes used an article written on January 20, 2009 to dispute claims that the campaign produced COLB was a forgery. In that article from the The Buffalo News a different doctor (West) is mentioned as the the one who delivered Obama, rather than Dr. Sinclair who signed the document released today. Just curious as to why Snopes felt confident in this account published on Inauguration day.

Wow. These people can't get their stories straight. The Snopes article says Obama was delivered by a Dr. Rodney West, but the so-called birth certificate Obama released today has a signature of someone named Dr. Sinclair.

Sidebar question: Hawaii birth certificates didn't record the baby's birth weight back then?

Regardless of Snopes and the third hand info that was dispatched today by Obama about the birth certificate, I want to know why it took him nearly 3 years to come up with this document and why is it dated only 2 days ago. Also he said that he had to get special dispensation from the state of hawaii to get a copy of said BC, because hawaii does not issue duplicates! HUH? which is nutty. I was born in Texas and I have lost my original Birth Certificate many years ago, then I had a job in the 90’s and had to get a passport and therefor had to get a certified copy of my BC which then cost all of $15 bucks. So why is hawaii so special? and why could he not get a certified copy of his BC back in 08’ when the fecal matter began to hit the fan? why now and why only 2 days ago? Why only after Trump went after him like a Piranha?Hmm Me thinks some cheese still stinks in Denmark!

Supposedly West did the delivery outside the hospital somewhere correct?

Supposedly Sinclair was the doctor that examined the baby at the hospital correct?

This delay between birth and examination is supposed to explain why the certificate numbers are out of order correct?

And there are three or four days between the supposed birth and the date received or issued correct?

How ,many days did it take to fly from Kenya to Hawaii in 1961?
