I suggest you read the 14th Amendment, Section I Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

If the 14th changed the NBC requirement, Article II-S1C5 it would not still be a part of Article II. It would be null like S1C3(changed by the 12th), and S1C6(changed by the 25th).

Where was the NBC requirement of A2S1C5 for the office of the Presidency altered by that?

The answer is it wasn't.

Hey Peace, can you tell me then why no court in this country reads the Constitution like you do? No conservative court, no liberal court, no moderate court....why is it that all these courts read the Constitution differently than you?

The Constitution *clearly* singles out the office of the POTUS as having to be a natural-born citizen, so throwing the 14th amendment into the mix is an obvious attempt by you to cloud the issue. Makes me wonder exactly what your motive is on this site.

Prince, NO IT DOESN'T. Good Lord. The Constitution clearly say Citizen OR Natural Born. OR OR OR OR "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States." In addition, the Fourteenth Amendment does not use the phrase "natural born citizen". It does provide that "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

Who alive today can meet the "citizen, at the time of adoption of the USC" part of A2S1C5?

We'd have a corpse in the WH, which might be preferable to the usurper there now.

Also, who at adoption could have met the NBC, 35 years of age and 14 years residency requirements?

No Amendment changed A2S1C5 It just isn't there.

Why do you keep quoting the 14th amendment in this matter? It has no bearing whatsoever on this argument, which is what exactly is a natural-born citizen.

The term was used by de Vattel in his treatise "The Law of Nations" which was written prior to the constitution in 1758. It refers to citizens who are born in this country to 2 people who are also citizens. The framers realized the POTUS had to have allegiance to no other country, so they made the bar higher for that particular office.

I seriously cannot believe you are continuing your attempt to obfuscate by bringing up the 14th amendment. No one said he wasn't a citizen if he was truly born in Hawaii. However, his newly-found COLB now brings to light what has long been suspected - he is not a natural-born citizen because his father was born in Kenya and was a British citizen at the time of Obama's birth; see the "British Nationality Act of 1948."

Maybe the constitution is a mere formality to you, but it isn't to me. Furthermore, as I have done my homework on this issue and come to my own conclusion, your argument that we should just "ignore the constitution" will continue to fall upon deaf ears, as I am sure mine will upon yours. Therefore, we must agree to disagree.

BTW, in your quote "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President...." there is no comma after United States, which is a very important distinction.

Consider this 14th Amendment Guy:

John Bingham is recognized as the author of the 14th Amendment.

John Bingham stated in the House of Representatives in 1862:

Who are natural-born citizens but those born in the Republic? - Persons born within the Republic, of parents owing allegiance to no other sovereignty, are natural born citizens. Gentleman can find no exception to this statement touching natural-born citizens except what is said in the Constitution relating to Indians.

He reiterated his statement in 1866:

Every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen.

Even the author of the 14th, understood that NBC was not the same as just citizen. Before, during and after.

I, and the rest of FR is still waiting for you to cite the court case where you think this issue was decided.

I’m still waiting for a court case that has ruled in favor of your position....crickets chirping. Meanwhile, I can cite plenty where they’ve been thrown out and dismissed and completely laughable based on the US Constitution and what it says, INCLUDING the 14th Amendment.

Keep wearing your tin foil hat and bringing down the rest of us in the process...it will do wonders for us in 2012 as Obama wins again and we’re stuck with him because of the actions of you and other conspiracy nutjobs that want to push this issue rather that going after this guy on the horrible job he has done. Just look at how much Trump has been CRUSHED into oblivion the last two days for his stupidity on this topic, and that is exactly what is going to happen to us if you guys keep this crap going.
