A town hall meeting held in Orlando by U.S. Rep. Dan Webster degenerated into bedlam Tuesday, with members of the crowd shouting down the freshman Republican congressman and yelling at one another.
It was the last of a series of town hall meetings Webster has hosted during Congress' spring recess, which ends Monday. While the others were civil and largely uneventful, the 300 people at Tuesday's meeting were so raucous they were scolded by a police officer to act "like grown people."
Webster tried to go over a series of charts showing growing levels of federal spending and debt, and the reason he supports the federal budget plan put forward by Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis. But he was interrupted at every turn by shouts from his critics, including members of progressive groups such as Moveon.org and Organize Now.
Boos and shouts of "liar" were mixed with angry accusations that Ryan's plan to change Medicare would leave those now under 55 without health insurance in their retirement, calls to eliminate the tax cuts first put in place by former President Bush and the need to raise corporate taxes rather than cut entitlement programs.

I see this as inevitable as well. Unfortunately, with the current administration it will be the proverbial “excuse” they will need to impose martial law, etc. I know it has been said about previous presidents, but I have never seen it more close to that type of environment than I see right now. It is very sad, but I do believe we will have no choice but to fight it out.
I can and will go for that-just do it.

History repeating itself???????????????????????
Medicare - which you and I have paid into all of our lives, on top of SS, and which we still continue to pay for even while we are receiving SS - is a lousy payer from any point of view. It doesn’t pay doctors enough and an increasing number of them are refusing it; at the same time, it has such a huge deductible (aka, the “gap”) that most people get very little coverage out of it that they are not already paying for in some other way. As somebody said, what other “insurance” program is so bad that you have to buy supplemental insurance to pay for what it is supposedly insuring?
Ryan has got to make the point that the current program isn’t working, it’s an expensive rip-off that does not pay for what people really need, and the new program actually would provide better benefits. It is not a lifetime “$7,000,” and I can’t imagine who “they” are that are saying this.
“A town hall meeting held in Orlando by U.S. Rep. Dan Webster degenerated into bedlam Tuesday, with members of the crowd shouting down the freshman Republican congressman and yelling at one another.”
This isn’t rocket science. Step into the leftist crowd and punch their lights out. Kick their leftist asses. American leftists are cowards and wimps.
Discover it for yourselves. It’s not rocket science.
We, the Tea Party, had better be at these town hall meetings to support the Reps we elected. They are going to need all the encouragement we can manage to give them. Please folks, keep up with what is going on in your area and show up for town hall meetings.
I figured about mid to late July because that will give the college kids out for summer enough time to get bored and looking for something exciting to do.
Well, nothing will settle those bored college kids down quicker than a sucking chest wound.
This is going to be a repeat of what the Weather Underground tried to do in the 1960’s, only they learned from their mistakes of the 60’s.
It's not going to be civil unrest/race riots along with domestic terrorist attacks like they did in the 60’s. It's going to be foreigners carrying out the terrorist attacks. That will make it an act of war.
It may start with the governors putting national guard troops on the streets, but it will soon be federal troops on the streets taking orders from the president.
A former deputy sheriff from Georgia told me the first time that he sandblasted, that he thought a sandblaster would be great for crowd control.
I couldn’t do anything but agree with him. I know I damn sure wouldn’t walk into one.
I believe that it is a very different situation today for conservatives & patriots versus the 1960's & 70's as well. We no longer have only the liberal biased media. Millions of patriotic conservatives get their news unfiltered from conservative websites or blogs or conservative pundits. Millions of patriotic conservatives no longer trust Washington DC or the Fed gubmint or especially the rat socialist bastad 0dumbo the commie pig-in-chief, and if push comes to shove would be willing to resist a socialist tyranny or attacks against our homes or families. Over 85 million people are gun owners and will not go down without a fight. Personally it needs to happen! As Thomas Jefferson said, the tree of liberty needs to watered now & then with the blood of tyrants and that of patriots. That time is now!
Liberals, socialists & muzzies are cowards at heart. That is why Arab nations totalling 1.2 billion people, quake in fear of Israel with only $7-8 million people.
As protest are held in city after city, the protest marchers will get more and more violent. The more the police try to control it, the more violent they will get.
The city governments will start demanding the gov send in the guard before the protest because of the violence in other cities.
Soon you end up with full blown race riots. People living in the cities and surrounding burbs will be demanding full guard presence to contain the riots in certain areas.
Throw in terrorist attacks with the riots, you got yourself a war.
The troops will be there to restore order, they aren't going to care what side you are on, they are going to restore order.
Per posts 27 and 29 in this thread, I think they are community agitators obeying orders.
“insurance will not accept you over 65 which is why people go on medicare.”
It was set up that way. Personally I’ll die in my backyard before I’ll ask for any Medicare/Medicaid help.
“It is very sad, but I do believe we will have no choice but to fight it out.”
That’s a fact.
